1. when we finish our shift at 5 we don’t have time off, we come home to another one. Cooking, childcare, elder care. Women carry 2 to 3 times more unpaid labor than men after work ends. Our day never actually stops.

2. We all know there are weeks where our energy is completely different from the week before. Our focus shifts. Our body shifts. A rigid schedule gives us zero room for any of that. It was never built around how we function at all.

3. The 9-to-5 was designed around a man with a woman at home managing everything else. This was how the system was built. Women were never part of the blueprint and yet somehow we got convinced that this system is designed for us.

4. Menstruation, pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding. Most workplaces treat them like a problem to manage around a fixed schedule and have no room for flexibility. This even goes so far that women often get asked if they plan to have a child before getting hired. The System we try to fit in, sees our biology as an inconvenience that might even get you fired.

So why are we trying to fit into something that was never build for us?
