I know what that feels like, because I’ve lived it. And that’s why The Embrace with Ayanpella podcast exists.

It’s not about fixing you. You’re not broken. It’s about creating a space where you remember that you’ve always been whole.

In this podcast, we talk about identity, self-worth, self-esteem, and body image in the most real and honest way possible.

Raw, relatable conversations rooted in grace, growth, and the kind of faith that sees you fully.

You don’t have to live a life of constant self-doubt and low self-esteem.🧡

Allow me to reintroduce myself 👋

My name is Ayanpella, and I’m a recovering people pleaser. I struggled with low self-esteem for the most part of my early years, and I know how much it affected me, my growth, and my ability to stand for myself.

Thankfully, I know and have learnt how to deal with it better. Now, I’m on the journey to show young people like myself, who struggle with these issues what I’ve learnt, so they can live happier and fulfilling lives.

To this end, I started a podcast 3 years ago that has recorded many amazing testimonies, and now we’re restructuring to be bigger and even better.

I’ve been scared and nervous, but I know it’s finally time to do this. If you struggle with your low self-esteem, then you’ve found the right place for you. 🎉

First, this song because you made me “perform” it for you, this morning.

Next, I’m grateful I get to do life and friendship with you. I’m thankful for all you represent in my life. It’s the way your smile lights up the entire room and your laughter triggers my own when I don’t feel like it. The way you look like you’re okay outside but that know you know that there’s one bolt that’s loose somewhere.😂

I wonder how I’d have done school without you. Thankful God brought you into my life on Day 1 of our resumption in the university of first choice and nation’s pride. I keep thinking, what if our bus didn’t break down or you didn’t respond to my message on the class group chat?

Mehn, I’m thankful for every year we lived together, every garri we’ve drank, every cry we’ve cried, every laughter we’ve shared, every prayer we’ve prayed, every rant we’ve ranted, every fight we’ve fought.

My moral and emotional support friend. My present friend. My intercessor friend. My listener friend. My highly intelligent, brilliant, beautiful friend. My podcaster friend.

I pray that this year, it all makes sense. I pray that the Lord amplifies your voice, and causes men to favour you. I love you. SO MUCH.

Overall, your identity shouldn’t be hinged on any trend or societal standards at all.

But more specifically, while your worth shouldn’t be based on beauty standards, it doesn’t erase taking care of your body, keeping fit, and doing your best to stay healthy. That’s one thing that will never go out of style 🩷
