spring is one of my favorite animated short films 🌸

I rescored this scene for my audition to one of Berklee’s most advanced film scoring class, and it got me in ! @berkleescreenscoring

Every time I watch it, I’m reminded how extraordinary nature is and why I fell in love with writing music for animation 🌿

I used @orchestraltools

Can’t be more grateful for having been chosen to receive the Georges Delerue Memorial Scholarship – Spring 2026 Awards 💫

Thank you to my Screen Scoring professors, including @tim2211 and @woodypak for guiding me and helping me grow as a composer and orchestrator. Thank you to the @berkleescreenscoring department, to my friends and colleagues for their constant support throughout this journey.

I’m also really happy and honored to receive this award alongside such talented artists/peers/friends whose work constantly inspires and pushes me to grow.

My deepest gratitude to Colette Delerue for this distinction inspired by the legacy of Georges.

This award means a lot to me, especially because of the composer it honors. Georges Delerue was a French film composer known for his extraordinary versatility, writing for dramas like Le Mépris (1963) with Brigitte Bardot, and many other genres. His music carried a rare emotional depth and melodic elegance, with unforgettable themes that gave real importance to music within film. What inspires me most is the way he defended film music as more than accompaniment; almost like a third character in the story. He understood how music could reveal emotions that words and images sometimes cannot express.

When I discovered his work and learned more about his artistic path, I immediately connected with him and his mindset: a deep respect for cinema and storytelling, a sincere belief in the emotional power of music, and an endless curiosity for exploring different styles and artistic worlds.

Receiving this recognition from my professors is both humbling and inspiring. It reminds me why I chose this path and encourages me to keep growing, learning, and staying true to my artistic voice.

Merci infiniment 💌
