Idiot! Make una come see dis one o...
You that have not submitted a final year topic to the department for approval, only for it to be changed to another one entirely and out of your interest. Meanwhile, you helped six (6) of your coursemates to craft their topics in line with their different interests, and all of theirs were approved.

𝗛𝗵𝗺𝗺! 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗼… 😒

In my department, we get to know our supervisors first before submitting a topic. And that evening, when the department released the approved final-year topics for my batch (supervisor), I was anxious, scrolling through the PDF up and down in search of my name and matriculation number.

Boom! I saw my details. I checked the next column, and suddenly "𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘭𝘶𝘳"… I couldn’t believe my eyes because I didn’t plan to work on culture and oral sayings, but on the performance/competency of language diversity and literature.

Meanwhile, my coursemates I helped, who had seen theirs before mine, were thankful to me that their topics were approved. Only one said there was a little correction in his, but it was still the same in meaning.

Wallahi! That day was one of the saddest days of my life, a day I can never forget. I shed a few tears and was confused until Olatunji Salam saw me and cheered me up.

I wasn’t sad because I couldn’t do it, but because I didn’t expect it, and it wasn’t in line with my preferred area. And honestly, I kept wondering why the ones I helped were approved and mine was not. by @ayensare07
