Hi there
I’m going to try and use this account to talk about my work, so I’ll follow this up with an update on what I’m up to this month. A quick intro, my name is Ayesha, and this is my book, The Centre. It’s about a Pakistani translator living in London who comes across a cult-like language school that promises instant fluency (but of course, at a price). by @ayeshainstas

What a beautiful launch for Nida Sajid’s debut work of fiction, 𝘊𝘖𝘖𝘗: 𝘈 𝘕𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦, last night!

We delved into conversations about words, structures, glimpses and perspectives, and the power of blossoming communities. We considered the relational elements of being in the world, and of publishing and releasing (and binding!) a book.

Thank you to our friends at Pages of Hackney for hosting this intimate event, Ayesha Manazir Siddiqi for your attentive questions, Nida for your considered responses, and everyone who attended and contributed to the conversation 🥰

𝘊𝘖𝘖𝘗 is available to order on our website, or through the link in our bio! by @ayeshainstas

We’re doing a book launch for COOP at @pagesofhackney on 28 January and you can book your spot now!

Nida Sajid will be in conversation with Ayesha Manazir Siddiqi — we can’t wait 🥹🥹

Ok, so now, what I’m up to this month
1. I’m facilitating a cool book club these days, and this month, we’re looking at the first two chapter of Wretched of the Earth. It’s on the last Tuesday of every month. DM for details
2. I’m also doing a guest workshop on novel writing for this all-day workshop run by @mel_pennant for @tamashatheatrecompany, on Oct 25th. There may still be spaces, not sure
3. Oct 29th, I’m excited to be doing this event, with the brilliant @samzreadsbooks and @ninamillns where we examine what it means to try and write in these incomprehensible times
4. Billee, my cat, snoozing. Ok I think that’s all for now. You can find me on platform-formerly-known-as-twitter for now @tweetingayesha and isA I’ll be more active on here in the future. by @ayeshainstas
