The older I get, the less I want to impress the world
I’m just trying to leave it a little better than I found it and return to Allah with a heart that’s softer than the one I started with,
Looking back 28 wasn’t the year everything fell into place It was the year I slowly stopped needing it to, there were beautiful days that I’ll remember forever, difficult days I wasn’t sure I’d make it through prayers answered in ways I never expected, and prayers that taught me to trust Allah even when I didn’t understand, i built things I once only dreamed about, I lost people I thought would always stay, I met people who changed me for the better and people who quietly reminded me that not everyone is meant to walk with you forever, I learnt that peace is worth more than proving yourself, that some closed doors are Allah’s greatest mercy, the biggest blessing was waking up every morning with another chance to become someone Allah is pleased with, If 28 gave me anything, it was a big reality check, Alhamdulillah for every blessing, every heartbreak, every delay, every answered du’a and every unanswered one that turned out to be the almightys protection
