Celebrated our oldest turning EIGHT this weekend! 🥹🤍 Such a fun day, and I feel so lucky that so many of our family + friends came to celebrate him with us. He is the smartest, most tender-hearted boy and watching him grow is one of my greatest joys. I can’t wait to see what this next year brings for him. A very busy, very Alaskan August + lots of good memories in between it all 🤍

One of the biggest weddings of my career, the start of a new school year, wrestling for the boys, a trip to Seward, the airshow, Alaska State Fair days + family hikes whenever we could squeeze them in.

Noah also got a whole week in Homer with Nana + Papa and safe to say, lived his absolute best life 😍 by @aylaotto

First day of school this week! Jace is off to 2nd grade and Noah to 1st! 📚🍎✏️

7 years of Events by Ayla 💍🤍✨

Standing in the ballroom during one of the largest + most elaborate weddings we’ve ever planned, I couldn’t help but think about everything that led us here.

This year stretched me in ways I never expected. Balancing being a business owner, mom of three, wife + everything in between has taught me that balance isn’t doing everything perfectly. Some seasons simply require more from you than others.

Professionally, I’ve learned that you can plan for every scenario, make sure every. single. detail is going to be perfect + STILL face things completely outside of your control (wind + power outages, IYKYK 😅🫠) Those moments have made me more adaptable, a stronger leader + reminded me that character is defined by how you respond when things don’t go as planned.

Through it all, Amanda has been right by my side. There isn’t a wedding she won’t give 110% to. She notices the little things before anyone else does, jumps in wherever she’s needed, keeps me laughing during stressful moments + cares about our couples as if they were her own.

I’m also so grateful for the vendor relationships that have turned into genuine friendships over these seven years. Loyalty + integrity mean everything, and this Alaska wedding industry is so much more than beautiful weddings - it’s the people you build alongside 🫶🏼

To my incredible interns, thank you for showing up + working so hard this summer! I’m SO excited to see where your journeys take you!

And a hugeeee shoutout also goes to my village. My parents have spent countless weekends watching the boys so I could travel across Alaska for weddings. Our amazing neighbor has consistently taken the kids a few days each week this summer so I could have uninterrupted work time. And to my husband / super dad Kyle - who has never once hesitated to take time off work, handle bedtime solo, or take over with the boys when I need to jump on a Zoom call, meet with clients, or disappear into wedding week. None of this would be possible without that kind of support 😭
