Feeling vulnerable and sentimental here… Just discovered this video from just about a year ago. A video that I never intended to share anywhere, but for some reason felt obligated to record?

I don’t know what it is about this song but from the very moment I heard it, it moved me like no other. The first time I heard it was when @jennyswoish (with @theglennmillerorchestra) sang it live just after I lost my grandfather. Then getting to hear them perform live again just a year later with my grandmother was a night I’ll always remember. The way she beamed, the way she danced in her seat, the way we could both hum along to a generation of music we both enjoy so much.

Had a moment thinking of passed loved ones today just in time to find this video.. so here I am sharing it?? 🥴🤷‍♀️ Idk.

Not sure what I believe about the afterlife, but I really want to choose the beauty found in this song 🥹❤️

When our village becomes their village🥹💛🦒🪴

I didn’t think anything could top the feeling on our wedding day, of looking around a room and seeing all of our favorite people together in one place. But now I’m having feelings bigger than words…

As I looked around the room this day, I wasn’t just seeing the people we love but the people our child will be shaped by. The family, friends, and loved ones who will help mold their world, celebrate their milestones, offer guidance, share traditions and remind them over and over again how deeply they are cared for.

What a gift it is to know that our baby will grow up surrounded, and influenced by, the most special people.

Thank you to our parents, siblings, family, and friends who worked so very hard to make the day perfect. And thank you to everyone who helped to celebrate Baby Doyle with us. We left feeling overwhelmed with gratitude, love, and excitement not just for the day but for the future.

Our little one is so lucky already for whats waiting for them💛

Well… we did it 💕🎭

Baby Doyle and I officially closed Mean Girls last weekend at 32 weeks pregnant. Something I don’t think I could have ever thought up for myself, but is an accomplishment I’m now most proud of.

Some nights I got home questioning whether I could keep up… but every laugh, every relationship gained, every encouraging word, reminded me that I wasn’t doing this alone.

To my husband, who supported every late night and exhausted request.
To my family/friends, who cheered from the audience and beyond.
To my castmates, who never stopped making me feel beautiful, capable, and included (Yall really hyped a girl up).
And to @stellarstudiostheater that gave me this opportunity and believed in me from day one…
THANK YOU 🥹

I truly couldn’t have done this without each and every one of you. You carried me through each rehearsal and performance. You stood as a constant reminder of how much we’re capable of when we’re surrounded by people who believe in us.

I’m leaving this show with a thankful heart and one very experienced future theater kid😉

One day I’ll tell you that before you took your first steps, you were already dancing with me. Before you spoke your first words, you were already surrounded by music. Before you were born, you already had a whole theater full of people who loved you.

And I hope you’ve learned the feeling of chasing something that makes your heart so very happy

One week in Dixon-land Delight with some of the people who made me who I am.
