Grateful for victories. Grateful for the consciousness of what God is doing in this generation, and our world, and the part I am(and shall) be playing in it.

I'm more convinced now, more than ever in the mission God has given me to radiate his love, light, aura, grace and success through my endeavors and life.

Ayodeji Abatan is an entrepreneur, humanitarian, and self-described "Unofficial Public Servant" whose work sits at the intersection of enterprise, public service, and social development.

Over the years, he has worked across organizations and projects delivering on technology, creative services, marketing communications, finance, healthcare, human capital development, supply chain delivery, and management consulting. Yet beyond business, his greatest passion lies in social development and advancing good governance.

In late 2020, he co-founded Achievers Football Academy, an academy that has till date continued to identify and nurture football talent among young people aged 5 to 18 within the broad Araromi Oke-Odo in Ifo LGA. In 2021, he also founded Develop Ifo, a civic advocacy initiative promoting socio-economic development across Ifo LGA of Ogun State.

In 2022, driven by a conviction that meaningful change requires both civic action and political involvement, Ayodeji sought elective office by contesting in the APC primary election for the ticket to represent Ifo Constituency II in the Ogun State House of Assembly.

Throwback Friday

Inset: When our founder @ayodeji.abatan was still actively serving as Coach and Team manager. On this particular day, he rushed down from his workplace in Lagos to coach the lads for this game at the Nana Apori football pitch, Adiyan, Ogun state. Good times, great sacrifices.

Some of these lads are still playing football for their respective university teams. A few have graduated university. A handful just got their Higher National Diplomas. Few are still with the academy playing in grassroots competitions and showcasing at scouting programs in Lagos and Ogun state. It's been a great ride so far.

Our promise from day one has remained the same: Use football as a tool to positively engage the youth, and as a tool for community development and social change.

The work continues. New gear now.

Paid a congratulatory visit to Hon. Biodun Adeleye FCTI FCA, at his business office. Hon. Adeleye is a seasoned financial accountant, tax professional, community leader, politician and someone I've since come to regard as a big uncle, older friend, father-figure, leader and mentor.

He recently became the APC candidate seeking to represent Ewekoro State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly. The adventure and workings of his emergence has become inspiration and learning material for me. And I'm especially looking forward to his ensured victory at the general polls next year 2027.

We are the ones we've been waiting for. For now, we bid the time, build capacity on as many fronts, watch the board, and participate in the spaces that open up.
