I was soooo excited to be able to do leg raises again in this video. I wasn’t able to do leg raises or anything that needed my core for a while because of how weak my core was after surgery. but we are back!!!!!!!😝😝

In 10 days, it will make one year since I went on my first run after having an emergency surgery.

An ovarian cyst ruptured, causing internal bleeding and leading to exploratory surgery. I was told to wait months before running again because of the strain it could put on my incision.

I was impatient and ran before I probably should have. My scar ended up keloiding, but that run meant everything to me. It was the moment I finally felt like I was getting a piece of myself back.

Looking back a year later, I’m grateful my body carried me through one of the hardest seasons of my life. 🤍🏃🏽‍♀️ by @ayokaa.__
