One of my favourite ideas from this conversation. Most people approach personal branding like this: Audience → Product → Sell Ayomide's philosophy is different. Value → Value → Value Keep giving. Keep helping. Eventually, people don't pay for the information—they pay for your ability to apply it to their situation. "It's just Customer Support." That's how many people think about the profession. Then Ayomide paused one day and realized the accounts she was responsible for were worth over ₦1 billion. Sometimes, the careers people underestimate carry extraordinary responsibility. Watch, listen, or read the full conversation: taiwoash.com/podcast by @ayomide.mak
Some careers come with instant prestige. Others require you to explain yourself. Ayomide remembers introducing herself as someone who worked in Customer Support—and watching people's interest disappear almost immediately. What happened next changed the way she thought about her career. 🎙️ Watch the full conversation on Breakfast & Launch channel on YouTube. 🎧 Listen on your preferred streaming platform: taiwoash.com/podcast by @ayomide.mak
I first came across @ayomide.mak on my LinkedIn timeline. Her profile immediately stood out. I’d never seen a Customer Support professional own their story with so much intention. I reached out and asked if she’d be open to a coffee chat. Within the first few minutes of our conversation, I stopped her and said: “This has to be a podcast.” There was substance behind her words, and I knew more people needed to hear her perspective. Several months later, we made it happen. Thank you, Ayomide, for sharing your story—and for the friendship that’s grown from a simple LinkedIn connection.
