Endless Season (Daniel Carter & Ayumi Ishito):
@danielcarter_nyc @ayumimimi33
Endless Season is the transcendent duo project featuring legendary multi-instrumentalist Daniel Carter and flourishing saxophonist Ayumi Ishito. Since collaborating in 2016, the pair has redefined the “auditory escape,” blending acoustic roots with an invigorating electronic dreamscape.
In their debut album (released on 577 Records), Ishito’s courageous audio production and playful tenor saxophone meet Carter’s masterful expressions on trumpet, clarinet, flute, and piano. Described as a “tranquil, melodic dialogue,” their music weaves together blissful ambiance and deep, nature-inspired soundscapes. As a rising leader in New York’s avant-garde scene, Ishito joins forces with the philosophical innovator behind 577 Records to create a cosmic, genre-bending experience that represents the future of creative music.

I’m thrilled to be performing with two trios at the end of the month — Ill Logic Flextet and a new trio, Supercollider — at the glorious VBI Theatre @ CHAC in downtown Poughkeepsie. I’ll be heard on guitar and laptop in both ensembles. Hope many of you will come out on 10/24 to hear approaches to music you sure will not hear anywhere else. taken in Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center by @ayumimimi33

Our new Endless Season live EP, Star-Seas Lore, comes out tomorrow!
It’s a 32-minute piece recorded live at Nublu Jazz Festival this past April, with Daniel Carter, Yuko Togami, and me.
We’ll also be playing together again this Sunday at Arts for Art’s InGardens series. Very happy to be playing with this trio again!
