Attended the Japanese Film Festival Day 2 today with the pseudo husbando and watched Tokyo Taxi. We knew the plot was gonna go there but the ending still hurt. 😭

Also loved the dynamic between the old lady (Sumire) and the taxi driver (Koji) and how their relationship developed as the taxi ride went on.

Thanks for watching with me as always @settonsand and for the sticky treat (???). Also I hate you for introducing me to gashapon hell 😭

[POST EVENT BLUES]

Pretty much how I felt as soon as I booked my ride home and prepared to face corporate life again. 🥲

WHAT. A. BLAST.

I gotta say, this year's Manila Madness definitely outdid itself compared to last year. I initially had reservations re: how well I would perform here given how far it is (and costly too as I'm from the north).

In short, sugal to para sakin. And as someone who had a pretty bad turnout last month, this was going to be a make or break moment on whether I'd continue making merch... or even art in general.

Ngayon, umuwi akong masaya at palagay ang loob knowing na tama yung pagtitiwala ko sa event na to, and most esp. sa sarili ko. It really is just a matter of finding the right crowd. And I can say I'm truly in my element when Tekken is involved (despite my love/hate relationship with the game right now).

Huge huge thanks to the team for having us, and to all the wonderful patrons who bought my wares as well as the amazing artists! At dahil diyan, hindi niyo naexperience ang pagsunog ko sa booth 😬

This might be my last event for the year as I take some time off to rest my hands, mind, and wallet (merch making is expensive yo huhu).

I guess see you all in Manila Madness 6 in 2027? 💪

Peace out!
