They’re a bold fusion of tradition and pop culture, celebrating freedom, strength, and the timeless beauty of cultural connection. by @azaide.art

My office is a true universe of inspiration, where vibrant colors and pop materials blend to stimulate my creativity.

This Summer was the perfect time to finally settle in and work on curating an archive of my family's old photos.Film and digital files that have been piling up for a while. Digitising old family photos is not only preserving the images, and preserving the information that goes with them, but for Sharing.
A tapestry of cultural and historical influences reimagined for a modern audience.

continuing to explore, and expanding focus on how these intersections of past and present manifest across different cultures.

Azaïdé is a captivating artist who draws profound inspiration from her grandmother’s journey and the Persian word ‘Azadeh’, which translates to ‘free-minded’. This name aptly reflects Azaïdé’s artistic mission to promote emancipation and liberation through her powerful Couture Divas collection.

At the heart of Azaïdé’s creative process is a deep respect and celebration of Arab heritage. She begins by assembling old black and white photographs, envisioning a story about the women she portrays and then masterfully adding intricate 3D embroidery to bring each canvas to life. Through her art, Azaïdé empowers women to shatter boundaries and explore their full potential, creating new narratives that resonate across cultures.

In March 2024, Azaïdé’s remarkable talent was recognized when she won the prestigious Emerging Artist of the Year award at World Art Dubai. This accolade has only further fueled her passion, leading her to embark on her first art residency at the Sofitel Dubai Palm Jumeirah in May 2024.

Determined to share her artistic vision, Azaïdé plans to offer more embroidery art workshops to students and fellow artists starting in October 2024, continuing to work on a captivating series that celebrates the beauty and courage of every woman. Her art is a powerful testament to the transformative power of creativity, serving as a catalyst for cross-cultural dialogue and the emancipation of the human spirit.
