I’ve been praying on John 4:23 the past few weeks, & have just been in awe of the fact that He lets us offer Him our worship to begin with. It’s the worshipping Him, but it’s also the doing it together. Love rooms like this & love the people in them. That’s just what loving Jesus gets you.

Four years & a week ago Chloe & I had our first date. There was so much electricity we couldn’t stop yapping & being & meeting one another in such a newfound way. After the date I asked Chloe if she’d be my valentines date the following weekend & she said yes. I got home and realized - I had spent all my money on her already haha. Where was a 20 something year old guy to go with $30 and the most important date of his life?

Since then we always make sure to go back for Vday (+ a few extra stops). Even as seasons change and our purview expands well past what it was when we first met, it’s become all the more centering to remember where we started - where God first introduced us to one another.

Chloe, I somehow grow to love you more with each passing day. You are my most profound proof of creation’s goodness, gentleness, & strength. God took extra time knitting you together, making me the receiver of blessings I couldn’t have ever even known to pray for.

Genesis: 32:22-31

Been penning away at this with The Holy spirit for a few months now - I hope whatever you’re staring down this year, or whatever you’re leaving behind in the previous one, The Lord strengthens and comforts you through it all.

This song was birthed out of a sermon Pastor @mikeeltak preached called “A Word for the Wanderer” at our monthly Young Adult gathering. Since then God has been reminding and re-confirming things in my wife & I’s life & the lives of those around us. He’s so good! I pray this blesses you deeply, and resonates with his faithfulness to see things through in you & your loved ones lives as well :)

🏔Yth Camp ’22 wrapup🌲

First & foremost, thank you G for delivering us safely from LV to CA & back year after year. Thank you for preparing the way & setting the table, softening hearts, & doing what only You can do. You deserve all the honor, & when the blessings involve me & mine, You’ll always get it.

To my 🍊ORANGE OWLS🦉 I couldn’t be more proud of you guys. From giving it your all in these team wars, to taking the sessions & devo’s seriously, to opening up to myself & the other leaders. You guys made it work, & you let us help along the way. I wouldn’t do over anything. You made me more proud than ever not just in winning dodgeball (s/o to Ali for closing it out in the most perfect way) but also for losing with dignity & respect during flag tag. Yall got bright futures if you can keep it up.

To any and all students who kicked butt & gave it their all: you guys are why we do what we do. Not just the team wars (special respect to the 🍏Green Grizzlies🐻 & 🛑Red Rhinos🦏 helping us make some unforgettable moments) but also! Taking notes, showing up for devo, going CRAZY in worship. Laughing & crying with you guys is my biggest blessing rn. I hope you’re all checkin in with your leaders, bc we love yall immensely.

To my worship team!! I say it often but when it comes to yall, I’m really surrounded by giants. Its not just the talent, its the heart. Serving with yall makes me a better person. Means the world to feel supported and released. Love yall.

To my friends! Thanks for loving & caring for this house as much as I do. This is the strongest we've ever been, & it means so much to look around & see you guys loving this home.

To my leaders who’ve made me - I owe you a million. The support, grace, investment from yall means the world. I dont just have world class leaders, you’re accessible. Thank you.

& to me :) In 2014 I wandered up to Big Bear on this same camp trip for the first time, in 2015 I met my now best friend up there, in 2016 I received a call to ministry… but in 2017 - due to anxiety & depression - I ran.
