“On Your Mark” The Running Series // Blaze // Rockville: Knowing that Blaze is a photographer himself, I knew he was going to have a keen eye for such a beautiful location. So to the woods we went.

We started the trek early morning where we were greeted by dozens of goats. I have to admit this trail put me to work, but the end result was well worth it.

Throughout the trail Blaze and I discussed the mindset of running a business and the techniques of trying to stay relevant through the times. I can tell through Blaze’s tone that he strives to better himself by not staying confined by comfort. I began to see the correlation between the challenges of the trails and climbing the ladder of his career. You can sense the determination to push forward.

In the midst of the hustle, both on and off the trail, Blaze takes the time to appreciate the small details. He too can understand the comparison of a run and picking up a camera. Moments are to be found everywhere.

6 years ago today you agreed to be my girlfriend. Looking back at everything we have been through and where we are today, I can honestly say I wouldn’t want it any other way. This is officially the last anniversary before we are wed and I cannot wait for what’s in store.
