My first large-scale tangle that took several days. Considering I’m pretty new to this I think it turned out well. #zentangled #art #takethetime by @azhikergrl

Today as we sat at the beach, a lady came and put her stuff right next to us. Then she rolled up her jeans and just stood in the ocean. As I watched her, I thought this is what I mean when I say we don’t know the demon the next person is fighting. Was she here to simply enjoy the peace of the ocean, or was she here to sooth her broken soul? Was her smile a happy smile or just trying to hold on?
Each day as you pass strangers, remember to be kind. They may be having the worst day of their life or the happiest. #bekind #shareasmile (a canned photo didn’t think to grab a photo until she was gone) by @azhikergrl

Not sure how I feel about this one. I quit on it many times, but wanted to see it completed. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. #zentangle #tangling by @azhikergrl

Tried something different that I watched online. Had to pivot as I messed it up. But I love the finished product. #zentangle #art #newjoy by @azhikergrl

Time for a pour of @woodfordreserve with the beautiful painting commemorating the 151st running of the @kentuckyderby and of course checking the ponies for tomorrow’s race!! And must pair this yummy whiskey with a cigar! #bucketlist #kentuckyderby #someday #whiskeyandcigars by @azhikergrl

This beautiful old, beat up Queen of a Saguaro has been on my mind so much since my hike this past Tuesday morning. As I walked up on her, I wondered about her time in this desert of ours. About the stories she could tell. It is clear she has seen many injuries, been burned many times over and yet she stands as a beautiful sentinel in this scarred land. I pray that like her I can stand tall and show all my scars even those deep inside so that others may remember to stand tall. #womenwhohike #52hikechallenge #solohiking #dirtbaggypsiesadventureclub #womenwhoexplorearizona #saguaro #strength by @azhikergrl

Still not sure how I feel about this endurance run @destinationtrailraces as it right in the middle of My hikers, hiking the @aztassociation. It has been cool to track the runners and @pjmortimer just took the race and in the top 4 runners are 3 from AZ that is awesome! But such mixed emotions about #arizonamonster300 happening during high NoBo season. We’ve heard the good and the bad and seen the trash. #thruhiking #enduranceracing #trailangels #amAZingAZ by @azhikergrl

Strong women supporting and caring for each other. Blessed to be a trail angel on the @aztassociation and get to meet incredible people. Just this week I have met these 3 amazing women! Alex from New Zealand, Roadrunner from here in AZ and Backflop from the Czech Republic. Each of these women shared our home for a few days and they are missed already. In a short time they made an impact in my life. #trailangel #aztrail #womenwhohike #womensupportingwomen by @azhikergrl
