Brown Sugar screenwriter Michael Elliott has spent years telling unforgettable Black love stories on screen. Now, he's celebrating one of his own. After reconnecting with Adia May 12 years later, the couple is officially married. A true testament to healing, faith, and the belief that what's meant for you will always find its way back.

The couple exchanged vows at Cielo Farms in Malibu in a ceremony officiated by Pastor Touré Roberts, with performances by Common and Stevie Wonder, a heartfelt original poem by J. Ivy, and music by DJ Tendaji. It was a celebration as unforgettable as the love story that brought them there.
