I've been taking inventory of all the things I'm thankful for as Thanksgiving has come and gone. I haven't really processed my climbing journey until now. When I was a year into climbing, I never thought I'd be able to climb a V7 inside let alone multiple 7's and 8's outside. In fact, I hated outdoor climbing. It was hard, I was pretty bad at it, and it hurt. I didn't even crimp for my first 2-3 years of climbing, I avoided it because it "wasn't my style." I avoided climbs because they were "out of my range." I let my doubts and negative thoughts hold me back from trying. Now, I feel so free. I've astounded myself with some of the things I've pulled off. Even if something is too hard, it just means I can't do it YET.

Possible FA! A sit start low on the right hand in a crimp and a texture on the arete. Throw a heel and move up the left arete holds to the top. Fun lil compress boulda.

This climb was a beaut! A water crossing, a little seclusion, and the sound of the stream and the breeze blowing through the trees 🙂‍↕️

Came in with no beta! I spent one sesh figuring it out, tried the next day but was still too sore, one day rest, and she went 3rd go :3

Happy to be able to pull pretty hard after coming back from a pulley ouchy 🥳

Ps. Sit start is "integrity" 😆

Oops forgot to post this from the trip 😅 Cooolest climb on the boulder IMO.
I struggled to do this lap (and got a flapper) at the end of the session, but it was worth for the memories 🙂‍↕️ ty for the stoke everyone 🙇🏻‍♂️ taken in Squamish B.C. by @aznshortguy

Thugger (FA)

Start on the rail for Tigger, traverse left along the lip with holds below to finish on a mantle to the left of the traditional Tugger finish.

As usual, I was playing with betas. I found a fun way to exit left of Tugger's traditional finish. I figured "why not try to link it with something different?". I think the original beta is more fun. @jeffwong90 and @tom.wong__ with the 2nd and 3rd ascent gave it V5. I think it might be harder if short or less flexy 🤔 taken in Sḵwxwú7mesh by @aznshortguy

Joe visits* North Carolina! A little while ago, a little lady from the other side of the country messaged me for some more Nikko content. We kept chatting and chatting, played games together, and the cycle continued until we decided to meet up in person. We took a chance on a kind of crazy first date weekend 😆 and now it's official 👫🏻 (she had me at Wingstop 😂) by @aznshortguy

Didn't top P-squeak or Lion's Den but excited to go back for them in better condies for me. I love my Canadian friends haha. Very cool line with a mantle type I haven't seen before! Cold tunnel conditions and style suited me well and got it in a handful of tries :3 there's still so much good stuff at Moe's 🥹

Backhoe boulder things.

I had a hard time getting stoked 😅 was very tired and tried to run the gauntlet at the end of the day. Ty to the homies 🙏🏻
