August 2026 has brought me so many beautiful projects, and finally, the screening of Flores para Vivir, a short film written, directed, and produced by @lifeofbrenduh. Filmed a year ago, this story is finally being shared, and what a way to start than as part of the Official Selection of @chicanohollywoodfilmfestival.

Thanks to all the cast and crew… this story came to me during a very scary moment: the raids happening across the United States… a time of uncertainty, fear, anger, and feeling like there was nothing I could do.

This story is about resilience, hope, love, and the unlimited desire of humans to simply exist in peace.

I pray we never let others kill our spirits. 🤍 taken in Pomona, California by @azucien

Some stories arrive exactly when they’re needed most. 🌸

I’m beyond grateful to share that Flores para Vivir, has been officially selected for both the Chicano Hollywood Film Festival and the LA Shorts International Film Festival.

Written and directed by Brenda Saucedo in 2025, Flores para Vivir is a story rooted in resilience, hope, and the strength of our community. Seeing it recognized by festivals that champion Latino voices and independent storytelling makes this journey even more meaningful.

We’re especially honored to share this story through the Chicano Hollywood Film Festival, which celebrates Chicano and Latino storytellers, and the LA Shorts International Film Festival, one of the world’s leading Oscar®-qualifying short film festivals.

Thank you, Brenda Saucedo, for trusting me with this beautiful character and for inviting me to be part of a story that carries so much heart. Thank you to our incredible cast and crew—this recognition belongs to every person who poured their talent, passion, and love into bringing Flores para Vivir to life.

Here’s to stories that remind us of our humanity, bring us together, and ensure our voices continue to be seen, heard, and celebrated. 🤍🎬 taken in Hollywood - Los Angeles by @azucien

This is me today…. No filter… no pose… no make up… just me and my body.
As an actress is so hard to not be exposed to the comparison and criticism. Its really important to take care of our hearts and minds 💝

Las voces latinas fueron vistas, escuchadas y validadas. 🤍

Entre Dos Mundos received an Official Recognition from the County of Los Angeles for opening important conversations about mental health within the Latino community.

Este reconocimiento significa mucho más que un certificado. It’s a reminder that art can heal, that telling our stories, our silence, our trauma and our family struggles has the power to create empathy, reflection and hope.

Lo más hermoso es que este reconocimiento pertenece a todo el elenco y equipo creativo. Every rehearsal, every scene and every person who believed in this story helped create something bigger than a play.

Lo que contamos importa. Our stories matter. Y cuando el arte nace desde la verdad, it leaves a lasting mark on our community.

Y, en lo personal… gracias, Isabel. ❤️ Gracias por confiarme tu historia y permitirme darte vida. Through your journey, I found the courage to heal, let go and grow. Siempre llevaré una parte de ti conmigo.

Thank you to every artist, every audience member and every person who embraced Entre Dos Mundos. This recognition belongs to all of us. 🤍 taken in Los Angeles, California by @azucien

Closing night at PIFF✨

Que honor haber sido parte del cast de Marina’s First Great Adventure 🎬

Feeling deeply grateful for every opportunity, for the people who believe in me, y por esta comunidad que seguimos construyendo con tanto corazón.

I’m here to take up space, tell meaningful stories, and keep showing up—sin pedir permiso, con propósito y con verdad.

This is just the beginning. More stories to come.
