The duty of a man as it comes in being so by definition requires the sacrifice needed in order to fulfill the cultivation, tilling and fruitful multiplication of life. To blatantly disregard this as nonsense, or to abandon this responsibility is to negate the effects of prosperity as it comes in shouldering this burden with another… risking the downfall of humanity. This is the cross of man… women simply carry the nails, and our off-spring the hammer.

The digital age, in this time at the peak of humanity (as we know it) has reached a point where the ability to keep it confined, controlled, and regulated is near impossible. With the dawn of AI, fears have grown and uncertainty has set foot in the minds of men, yet its foot print will not be left because the foot will not be raised; it has claimed its territory in the area of the mind that is used to think ahead. This can all be considered bad, unnerving, unprecedented, and maybe downright revolting; considering that humanity has always been able to adapt and overcome its challenges, which in turn has allowed us to grow as a species. But all of this is good, because once again people are starting to search, in response to a longing and cry of the spirit (which has always existed, yet once again entertained), for The Christ. There are many a page, on nearly every platform, pushing this “ideology” so-to-speak, of what it means to be a Christian Man. Drink your protein, hit your PR’s, quit masturbating, don’t look at women lustfully, be a man of discipline, self-control, of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding…

But temptation will always be there (which is what these pages don’t say) and God will always still love you (which is the Good Message I haven’t heard either). On top of all of this, I have not heard, from any page, echo those long lost words which we tend to shy away from embracing and embodying when it comes to following Him: love… your… enemy…

You don’t need to text any page on here “Formation” in order to get started on your faith-based “journey to quit p*rn.” Granted, it can help and will help if it can; but,if you truly want to start somewhere on this journey with Christ, as soon as you’re done reading this post: 1) get off Instagram, 2) reach out to the last person that has done YOU wrong, and 3) YOU ask THEM for forgiveness. Then maybe you can work on quitting porn. Regardless… God will always love you, even through your sin.

Our sufferings entail the opportunity to shift our perspective in a manner which allows us to dominate our feelings, check our emotions, and become virtuously obedient to the moral rectitude which once allowed this nation to flourish with life-giving freedom. The trials which beset a man, psychologically, physiologically, and spiritually, are the things necessary to overcome in order for him to become his true self. To run in fear, to refuse to confront them, and avoiding the toil which comes with engaging them, is a betrayal of the self which has yet to be discovered… but is also necessary to be discovered. To continue in a downward spiral, into the abyss of degeneracy and hedonistic pursuits is repugnant to the very nature of being as self and Being as such. Such behavior is despicable, and ought to be quelled the instance it is put into action; and it all starts with you.
