"Beyond Mysticism: The Modern Northwest," now on view at the Seattle Art Museum (@seattleartmuseum), is a beautifully curated exhibition of paintings and sculpture by artists known as the Northwest Mystics. ⁠
⁠
These painters and sculptors, some famous but many not, were part of the Northwest School, a mid-20th-century American art movement that was mainly centered in Seattle and the Skagit Valley. ⁠

Art Zone host Nancy Guppy recently stopped by Pioneer Square to explore Populus Hotel where art curator Dominic Nieri shares how more than 300 pieces of artwork by original works by 35 local and international artists came together to create a living, evolving collection.

He also explains why the artwork on display is always changing, giving guests something new to discover with every visit.⁠
