Mama🥺 not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. I miss your laugh the way it could light up a room and make even the hardest moments feel lighter. I miss the way you loved me, so deeply and unconditionally. There’s an emptiness without you here, but also a deep gratitude in my heart, because I got to be with you during the final stretch of your life. That time we shared means everything to me. I carry every memory with me like little pieces of your spirit that I’ll never let go of.
Even though there are moments I could fall into guilt or pain, wondering if I did enough or wishing I could’ve done more, I’m not letting myself be consumed by that. And that’s because of you because of the strength you instilled in me, the love you left behind, and the faith I have in knowing you’re still with me in spirit. I know you’re with God now, and I know my brother is with you too, both of you watching over me, holding me up when I feel like I can’t do it alone. Please keep watching over me. I still need you. I still talk to you. I still feel your presence in the quiet moments. Help me stay strong, guide me when I feel lost, and remind me of the love that will always connect us. You were my everything, and even though you’re not here physically, that hasn’t changed. I love you now, I’ll love you always, and I promise I’ll carry your light with me for the rest of my life. by @azzuremonaae
