I can never drive past a dog walking the streets with no owner in sight! I can’t even count how many lost dogs I’ve found and reunited with owners over the years! 🫶🏼

This gorgeous boy had a collar, I was able to get in touch with the owner and he’s now safe at home 🥹 by @azzurraluccon

Whatever Alessio is doing, you can almost guarantee Sadie is right there beside him 🥹🤍

Alessio’s imagination has always been one of my favourite things to watch. We recently got the @ilovemynook Junior Play Couch and he absolutely loves it! It’s designed especially for little ones under five, with smaller, lightweight pieces he can move around himself and turn into whatever his imagination comes up with.

I caught this little moment of Alessio and Sadie playing together and couldn’t not share it. She’s always right there amongst whatever he’s doing, so patient🥹 The sweetest friendship.

Alessio is going through a stage where he does NOT want moisturiser put on him… but the second he sees me doing something, he wants to copy 🤍

I’ve always used body lotion, but I realised I don’t usually put it on in front of him. So instead of trying to convince him, I’ve started involving him by letting him help me put it on first, and before long, he wants to try it too 🥹

I’ve been using the @nivea_anz Aloe & Hydration Body Lotion and I’m loving how light and refreshing it feels. It absorbs so quickly without feeling greasy, provides 72h moisture and has the most beautiful fresh aloe scent.

Sometimes they really do just need to see us do it first 🤍

My mum used to do this when we were little and I’ve been patiently waiting for Alessio to be old enough for us to start doing it with him! 🥹

He’s not even two yet, but lately he’ll sit at his little table for ages, babbling away to his toys and when he walks into a room and sees them all set up differently to how he last left them he gets so excited!

Having a little table and chairs at his height has become such a big part of playtime in our house. It’s his little space, somewhere he can sit down with his toys, draw, have a snack and play! 🥹🤍

A few little things we’ve found encourage imaginative play:

• Give them a space that’s theirs: somewhere at their level where they can independently sit, play and come back to throughout the day.

• Keep some toys open-ended: play dough, blocks, teddies, pretend food and everyday objects can become something completely different each time.

• Let them copy you: making dinner, pouring a drink, feeding a teddy, cleaning or putting their toys to bed. So much of Alessio’s pretend play comes from watching everyday life.

• Join in, but let them lead: I might ask what he’s making or whether teddy would like some too, but I try to let him decide where the game goes.

• Don’t correct the story: if the play dough is dinner and an empty cup is teddy’s coffee, we go with it.

• Leave room for unstructured play: some of his sweetest little games start when there’s no activity planned at all.

I love that this little table has become the backdrop to so many parts of his day (especially now that we’re getting to see more and more of his personality and imagination come through). 🤍
