11 years ago today… I got my leg amputated. It’s insane where the time goes.

April is also Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month which I somehow found out a few days ago… but, I am super grateful. From doing nothing, to basically doing anything without pain! One of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. 🧡 #amputee #ampuversary #LLLDAM by @b.allen.19

Had to go deep into the family photos to find more pictures of me instead of posting the classic 2 or 3 photos of me.. but honestly, I cannot believe its been NINE years since I had my leg amputated. One of the best decisions I ever made. It blows me away that I made that decision in sixth grade. I was 12. I made a decision at 12 and I just cannot thank my past self for that. Who knows where I would be today if I didn’t go through with it? It makes me smile of me seeing pictures after surgery and seeing how happy I was. I’m now pain-free, haven’t taken medicine (other than a major prosthetic leg issue 2 years ago) in a very long time. And that’s freaking amazing.
