This project is truly my baby. I had a vision last year to purchase a property that I would be able to fully rehab and build out an ADU using the BRRR (Buy, Rehab, Refinance, Repeat) Strategy with my team of contractors.

Although, I have a construction background it didn’t make this project any easier. Obtaining my first hard money loan took 3 attempts to finally have one lender be able to successfully close the transaction. During construction everything that could possibly go wrong definitely happened from workers becoming ill, material delays, unforeseen structural issues and the list goes on.

This truly was my biggest project to date using my own funds and I couldn’t be more proud. Every lesson throughout this project has been a blessing and expanded my skill set for my company BAS Construction Co. I’ve always been confident in my abilities and this project has been no different as I’ve weathered every storm. Now I have over 200k in equity in under 6 months.

During the construction of the front house I was fortunate to receive a grant for the build out of my ADU. The adu for this property is set to begin construction in late Spring. When your vision and purpose align God will do the rest when you put in the work and have faith. I was very specific in my goals last year to purchase an off market listing that was on a large plot of land, rehab the front house and build out an adu.

I’ll continue to document my progress on this property in a mini series. I’m now accepting more clients for residential remodels and ground up builds.

My heart is full.

Yesterday was about so much more than breaking ground. It was about helping a family take another step toward HOME after losing so much in the Eaton Fire.

To see the Lawson family’s rebuilding journey and the work we’re doing at B.A.S. Construction Company featured on the news is a moment I’ll never forget.

From loss to legacy.

And we’re just getting started.

Since June, one of my greatest struggles has been learning how to navigate life without my Popeye.

He was the epitome of what a man should be. A protector. A provider. A man of unwavering faith who covered me in prayer every chance he got. His strength was quiet, his wisdom was intentional, and his love was felt in everything he did.

The reason I’m in construction and real estate is because of him. Long before I ever carried a title or owned a company, I was watching him build and take pride in his work. He didn’t just teach me a trade he taught me integrity, resilience, and what it means to leave things better than you found them.

You’ve been my blueprint in more ways than you’ll ever know.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t wish I could call you for advice or tell you about the next project. But I find peace knowing that every foundation I pour, every home I help build, and every family I serve carries a piece of the legacy you left behind.

Thank you for every prayer, every lesson, every sacrifice, and every example you set.

I hope I continue to make you proud.

It’s been a journey getting here… not easy, not perfect, but worth every lesson along the way.

Every project taught me something different patience, discipline, how to pivot, and how to lead when things don’t go as planned.

And I’m just getting started.

Grateful to be in a position where I can not only flip homes, but also help change the narrative of what women look like in construction and real estate.

We belong in every room, on every job site, and at every closing table.
