With some new friends and followers I figured I’d introduce myself. I’m Brandon, I’m in my 30s, I have an amazing life and family, but it didn’t start that way.

I grew up middle class, no money, first person in my family to go to college (hated it), had no idea what I wanted to do in life but I wanted to be successful. My 20s were full of constant grinding, climbing corporate ladders, building a network marketing business, and learning from successful people. I made a ton of mistakes. Lots of failed relationships. Tons of lessons learned.

When I turned 30, I started my whole life over: I gave away my successful networking marketing business to my ex, left that relationship, and got laid off from my high paying corporate job. I felt God pushing me to pivot. I launched Prosper Firm, focused on growing myself, and investing in real estate. Covid hit, lockdowns, more pivots. Our lending business took off, especially helping real estate investors finance their properties. I built a small team that allowed me to get out of the day to day grind. Made some good investments, bought my first house, then met the love of my life. Everything started to snowball.

I had the time and money to do what I wanted every day, so I focused on growing me, and exploring this new relationship with someone who I could tell was my other half. She was perfect for me, something I’ve never experienced before. I was fortunate to surround myself with great people, allowing me to diversify into having a lending business, mortgage company, real estate portfolio, and other cool investments.

Today, Ang and I are married with two beautiful kids, we relocated from Pittsburgh to Florida, built a house, still have the lending and mortgage company, built and successfully exited a company, have loyal friends and partners, have more cool investments, and most importantly, still have the freedom to live life and focus on family. God has blessed us tremendously. I’m all for making money, but I’m more about creating freedom. That’s me. Reach out if you’d like to chat, I love connecting with good people. taken in Tampa Bay, Florida by @b.bartoldi

1. The first 3-4 months are incredibly hard. No sleep. Your first born’s schedule gets messed up. No breaks between the two of them. It’s tough.

2. Because your first born is so young still, they really don’t understand what’s going on. So they’re not super jealous, but more lost and confused and needy. Divide and conquer is constant.

3. Sleep training and having them on a schedule / routine is incredibly important. Both our kids were sleeping 10+ hours a night by the time they were each 4 months old, which is a game changer for your sleep, sanity, quality of life.

4. Date nights must be prioritized, but also become strategic military operations. You need to prioritize your relationship otherwise you won’t have one for very long lol. But finding childcare, packing bags, timing naps… getting out of the house can feel harder than running a business.

5. It’s worth it. Even now at 2 and 7 months… they’re best friends and love each other so much. Big brother is becoming helpful to little sister. They already care so much about each other and make it all worth it.

It’s exhausting. It’s messy. It’s loud. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Parents… what would you add to the list? taken in Tampa Bay, Florida by @b.bartoldi

Happy birthday to the best wife and mama out there. Bias, but seriously, you are the most loving, thoughtful, caring, compassionate person I’ve ever met. Your ability to produce and raise beautiful perfect children and create a home that is pure peace is something I’ve always prayed for, and you do all that and more. And there’s never a dull moment with your goofy, bold, and unfiltered personality, you shine in any room you enter, and keep me on my toes lol. Love you babe, here’s to a million more @angelea__nicole taken in Tampa Bay, Florida by @b.bartoldi

What would you add or subtract? Here’s mine:

1. Godliness: a man puts God above himself. His identity isn’t ultimately tied to his career, wealth, appearance, or reputation. His identity is tied to his purpose. His purpose is tied to God.

2. Integrity: a man does what he says he’s going to do, even when nobody is watching. His word means something. He doesn’t manipulate, lie, cheat, hide things, or have one character in public and another in private.

3. Responsibility: a man takes ownership. He doesn’t constantly blame his circumstances on his parents, wife, employer, government, economy, or other people.

4. Courage: being a man means doing the right thing when it’s uncomfortable, unpopular, expensive, or frightening. That includes the courage to: protect your family, stand for truth, have difficult conversations, admit when you’re wrong, walk away from temptation, make difficult decisions, and defend people who can’t defend themselves.

5. Self-Control: a man has the ability to control himself. Your anger, sexuality, appetite, phone, ego, or money doesn’t control you. Strength without self-control becomes destructive.

6. Provide & Protect: a man works hard to provide and protect his family. It’s not about show and having the nicest car. It’s about taking care of your family’s needs and making sure they are safe.

These are just a few core principles. What would you add? taken in Tampa Bay, Florida by @b.bartoldi

CROWN & ASH 👑🥃

Last night was about more than networking.

It was about getting the right people in the right room.

Entrepreneurs. Business owners. Leaders. Visionaries.

People committed to building successful businesses while still understanding that character and integrity matter.

Because your network isn’t just about who you know.

It’s about who challenges you.
Who expands your thinking.
Who holds you to a higher standard.
Who opens your eyes to new opportunities.
And who pushes you to become a better leader.

Success gets attention. Character earns respect. Leadership creates legacy.

That’s what Crown & Ash represents.

A private community where meaningful relationships are built, real conversations happen, and leaders can connect without the noise.

We’re not interested in simply collecting contacts.

We’re building relationships.

We’re building leaders.

We’re building businesses.

And ultimately, we’re building legacy.

Your network is your net worth. Choose your rooms carefully.

Parents, let us know your best hacks. Here’s our first few for our busy son:

1. Include them in adult tasks. Busy kids get bored with basic toys fast. They need extra engagement. We found letting them help with chores like making breakfast, putting dishes away, doing laundry, sweeping the floor, are all things he loves to join us in doing. Let them! Plus you’re productive, it keeps them engaged, and teaches them great habits.

2. Reading, music, and singing. One of those things is almost always happening constantly throughout the day. Encourage it (don’t get this confused with TV, because ideally TV/screen time is limited or not done at all)

3. Talk to them like an adult, not a child. It’s amazing how much they start to learn and comprehend because you’re constantly explaining what you’re doing and why, what they’re about to do and why, and explain whatever it is out loud instead of just doing it. It’s wild how they start to pick it up, pay attention, and eventually engage and communicate those things with you.

4. Running errands. Getting outside is a good way to reset, and usually so are car rides. Get them out of the house when they start getting over stimulated or fussy. Often times it’ll reset them and their mood and again, you’re being productive and getting things done.

5. Schedules and routines and structure are huge. Keeping them on a regular schedule and routine for napping and eating helps them regulate their emotions a ton. Way less outbursts or tandems. It’s never perfect. But we’ve found structure helps them a ton.

Let us know what you have found that works or what you struggle with! taken in Tampa Bay, Florida by @b.bartoldi

One day you are “too young.” Then you wake up “too old.”

Tony Robbins has a quote about how quickly that shift happens.

For years, you tell yourself you have time.

Time to take the risk.
Time to change careers.
Time to build the business.
Time to create a life you actually enjoy.

Then one day, you realize you spent most of your life waiting for the next vacation, the next weekend, or the next exciting thing to happen.

I never wanted to live that way.

I kept a reminder on my phone that said:

“Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, maybe you should set up a life you don’t have to escape from.”

I read it every day and decided I was not going to settle.

The goal was never to avoid work. It was to build a life where I am where I want to be, doing work I care about, instead of constantly wishing I were somewhere else.

Do not wait until you feel ready.

You can go from “too young” to “too old” faster than you think.

Some rooms sharpen your vision.
Some connections elevate your business.

This is what happens when the right people move with intention and operate as one.

The next level is closer than you think.

You should never worry about criticism from someone that you would never ask advice from. And you should never ask advice from someone you would never trade places with.
