Afgelopen weekend won homeboy Bilal een Gouden Kalf voor z’n wervelend gespeelde rol in de dramaserie Laura H. Het was een magische avond. Ik aanschouwde met veel voldoening wat zich daar ontvouwde: een nieuwe generatie getalenteerde, gretige filmmakers die de Nederlandse cinematografie aan het bestormen is. Naar een idee van acteur en theatermaker Achraf Koutet, vanaf februari in het theater: ‘Het uur van de waarheid’.Een spannend, nieuw Nederlands toneelstuk, gebaseerd op een waargebeurd verhaal. Naast gerenommeerd acteur Stefan de Walle schitteren de beste acteurs van de nieuwe generatie: Daniël Kolf (Theo d’Or winnaar), Bilal El Aoumari (Gouden Kalf winnaar), Achraf Koutet (Mocro Maffia) en cabaretier Gover Meit (artiestennaam Donny Ronny). Zij vormen met zijn vieren het kersverse theatercollectief Nieuw Amsterdam.Vier vrienden die samen bij een fastfoodketen werken, smeden tijdens hun nachtdienst een gewaagd plan: een bankoverval. Omdat één van hen stageloopt bij de bank beschikken ze over de sleutels en codes, dus wat kan er misgaan? Meer dan gedacht.
