Feels appropriate timing to post the results of this bar we renovated last year. Finally settled the final payments of just under 15k. Final invoices were sent mid December after the last few weeks of working 12 hour days to get it finished for them asap. Just over 6 months to finalise invoices that were all detailed in prices and quotes given prior to starting work, or beginning any extras. And bear in mind that when the invoices were sent in December, I had already shelled out thousands for materials and labour for my employees up to that point.

But anyway, no grudges held. Just a lot of stress and anxiety dealt with.

I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing knowing that I did everything correctly with pricing, invoicing, chasing the money ect. Because it still doesn’t really make a difference in our game! Take it legal and it just takes longer to get your money.

Iv always prided myself on high moral, traditional standards which Iv learnt from my parents. If I owe someone money, or a pint or anything like that, i never forget it and il always pay straight away. I suppose you can’t hold everyone to those same standards unfortunately. by @b.fitch_joinery

Small staircase renovation. In addition to the balustrade reno, we cladded the existing stringers to make the skirting flow up the stairs. And we also manufactured and fit a new door and frame to the meter cupboard at the bottom of the staircase. #oakstairs #staircaserenovation #staircases by @b.fitch_joinery
