CLUELESS, BUT CREDENTIALLED. 🧠 Somehow, I’ve made it to 19th grade. This semester, I’m beginning the next chapter of my Master’s in Biomedical Engineering by diving into neural engineering — an opportunity to expand my understanding of how engineering can be applied to some of the most complex systems in the human body. But lately, I’ve been thinking about education beyond what happens in the classroom. At this stage in my career, I’m not only growing technically. I’m learning how to become a better leader, how to think more intentionally as a businesswoman, and how to continue making room for creativity alongside a career in STEM. For a long time, I thought growth meant figuring out which version of myself I was supposed to become. I’m realizing now that maybe the point is learning how to bring all of them with me. The engineer. The leader. The entrepreneur. The creative. So here’s to 19th grade — still curious, still learning, and apparently still finding reasons to dress for the first day of school. They say to read the fine print before signing. This year forced me to read the fine print in my own story. For years, I’ve poured my heart into building products, brands, and ideas for other people. Then life hit pause. A layoff. An injury. And a reminder that I was capable of building more than one dream.
