POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
If you’re looking for books that remind you there’s more to people than the evidence against them…welcome.

I know my stories won’t be for everyone.

But I enjoy writing about hope in dark places, characters history got wrong, and the space between perception and truth.

Come along in exploring the gap between the world’s evidence and what’s in the heart.

Our characters keep requesting non-traumatic love stories 😅
What do your characters keep requesting?

"You might hate your favorite character" sounds a little aggressive 😂 but imagine meeting them through the eyes of someone they hurt. You wouldn't hear the desperate reasoning. You wouldn't know what they were protecting. You'd just have the evidence — and sometimes the evidence is ugly.

That doesn't make every choice excusable. We don't want a painful backstory to become a free pass. We want the harder question: now that you understand them, what do you hope they'll do next?

That's a huge part of why we write misunderstood people, sacrifice, and redemption.

God sees the heart. The world sees the evidence. We write to explore the gap between the two.

It’s why we make a good team 😂
She speaks fluent math. I speak... not math.
Tag your sister, which one are you? 🙃

Naturally, We have opinions. 😂

📌 Morally gray is about choices, not cheekbones.

A dangerously attractive shadow daddy doesn’t automatically make a character morally gray. Give us conflicting loyalties. Compromised principles. Choices we understand without necessarily agreeing with them.

📌 Closed-door romance should still make you need a minute.

An almost-touch. A confession that costs something. The moment the banter turns sincere. The bedroom door is closed — the emotional stakes should be WIDE open.

📌 Not knowing my character’s breakfast order doesn’t mean I don’t know my character.

“If you can’t answer these questions, you don’t know your character” — and the questions are about their morning routine? Details matter when they reveal something distinctive, shape the world, or affect the story. Knowing their toothbrush color doesn’t give them depth. Give us motivation, beliefs, quirks, and choices that reveal who they are.

📌 “Nobody challenges the king because he’s too powerful” isn’t enough worldbuilding.

Thirty years of tyranny, and nobody seriously tried anything until our main character arrived? We love the girl who changes everything. But give us the history of resistance. Failed attempts. Divided loyalties. Cultural or religious devotion. People who benefit from his rule.

📌 Miscommunication needs a believable reason for the silence.

If everyone — including the characters — is wondering the obvious question, “I’ll sound stupid” needs more weight behind it. Show us why asking feels dangerous to THIS person. Otherwise, we can feel the author keeping their mouth shut to keep the plot moving.

📌 A happy ending doesn’t have to undo everything it took to get there.

They can find love and still grieve. Win and still lose something they can’t get back. Some consequences remain — and the good that comes afterward still matters, even when it doesn’t fix everything.

Which hill are you joining us on — and which are we debating? 👀📚

One of us sees character development. The other sees a pretty line and hopes everyone ends up happy.
Somehow we make a pretty good team 😂

Which one are you? A) the Math sister or B) the ooo pretty sister 😁

Life has a way of making us forget our divine potential.

The potential God put into our souls—the part of us that is a creator and a dream chaser in its own right.

Those are my characters.

People who need reminding of who they are, who they can become, and what actually matters when everything else is stripped away.

I just make them figure it out through adventure, mystery, impossible choices, sacrificial love…and occasionally being called the villain. 😉

Those are the stories I love to write.

And maybe they’re the stories you need to read.

Maybe that’s why I keep writing the villain’s side of the story.

Because I know what it feels like to love someone fiercely and still be told you’re the bad guy. To make the hard choice and have someone else only see the hurt it caused.

And maybe the fantasy readers I’m writing for know that feeling too.

So I write misunderstood villains, sacrificial love, redemption, morally complicated characters, impossible choices, and hope in dark places.

Stories where being remembered as the hero isn’t nearly as important as loving someone enough to do what’s right.

Maybe my readers look a lot like me.

And maybe that’s the point.

Apparently a master’s degree in mathematics does NOT qualify me to estimate 100 feet or relay accurate facts.

But being a fantasy author does qualify me to make something up with enough confidence that you might believe me.

For legal purposes: the eye-color statistic was completely fabricated. 😌

I write character-driven fantasy about misunderstood villains, morally complicated choices, redemption, sacrifice, and the difference between who someone really is…and the story everyone believes about them.

So basically, questioning the evidence is kind of my thing. 😂

If you like fantasy books with complicated characters AND authors who occasionally abuse their storytelling privileges, welcome.
