NEW RECORD!
Sonic Chambers Quartet "Spontaneous Situations" Coming 11/6!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Today our group Sonic Chambers Quartet announces our new album Spontaneous Situations, out November 6!

And exclusively on our Bandcamp page, you can hear the first single “three tetrachords in conversation”.

Check out the album pre-order and single at sonicchambersquartet.bandcamp.com/album/spontaneous-situations (Link in Bio!)

The album is a ‘composed’ album of ‘free improvisation’. It shows the way the group has cohesively developed as an organic spontaneous music machine…

New Orleans peeps!: album release party will be 10/30 at the Bultman House on Louisiana Ave, so save the date!

We will be dropping another single and a video next month so be on the lookout for that!

I went to Mexico City briefly with @wits_end_brass_band and then I went to Maine briefly to celebrate my Aunt Gretchen's 80th birthday and NOW I'm headed to NYC for some shows:

Playing at the Stone for the first time with some amazing people, but specifically @alexandriasmithmusic

Then, Sunday 10/18, I lead a trio at @barbesbrooklyn featuring @robgarciamusic and @sean_conly

Really excited to host my friend @annabelleplumvoice in New Orleans next week!

I’ve put together two concerts, you should come to both, she’s incredible, and it’s been a pleasure to be collaborating with her more frequently over the last couple years, notably on our recording FOLK SONGS FROM IMAGINARY PLACES (2025) out on @labelmarecords and @searchingrecords

This is her first visit to town, so let’s make her feel welcome!

Concert 1:
Belated local album release show at @canoa.nola presented by @versipel_new_music and @nf_nola and featuring @_justinpeake_ and @seeallsound

We will have cassettes of the album available, come cop one!

Concert 2:
Improvisor round up at @zeitgeist_nola featuring some of our city’s finest:
@auroranealand
@helengillet
@jimbosing
@trapanicomposer

See you out there 😘
