My Own Songs Hit Me Hard 💯

Major Throwback, Fun Fact : This was one of the first projects that i worked on the mixes with my friend during the "Noises in My Head" Album Tour. I am not someone who likes to talk about what i do for a living anymore as it's a way of life but i must accept one forgets what they have done as life has been tough. I need to remind myself over and over again why i started this journey. Immensly Grateful!

Some voices don’t just fill a room — they make you stop and listen. ❤️

Meet @b3nding_mind Kalyaani— Himachal-born singer-songwriter, storyteller, and a voice that has travelled a rather beautiful road.

After a decade in the corporate world, Kalyaani took the leap into music in 2013, armed with songs, an acoustic guitar and a whole lot of courage. Since then, she’s gone on to release her debut album Noises In My Head, collaborate across genres, and find herself featured in Rolling Stone India and on the TEDx stage.

Her music carries a little bit of everything — bluesy grit, vulnerability, stories of life, loss, love and the questions that stay in our heads.

And then, she brought all of it to our Sofar room. ✨

Her set was intimate, honest and beautifully raw. That voice? We were hooked. And judging by the way our guests leaned in, listened closely and let the music take over — we weren’t the only ones.

🌊Letting go. Finding your rhythm. Finding your freedom 🎶

For our August Sofar Goa gig, artist @medoz.b took the idea of freedom and turned it into something wonderfully whimsical.

At the heart of the artwork, a puppeteer’s hand releases its broken strings, setting a human figure free to fall — not into emptiness, but into a sea of music. 🌊🎵 Surrounded by waves, flowers, music notes and a dreamy Goan landscape, the visual beautifully captures the feeling of letting go, surrendering to the moment, and allowing music to lead the way.

A huge thank you, Medhavi for bringing such a thoughtful and imaginative interpretation to our Independence Day month. 💙

And, of course, gratitude to the incredible artists who made this Sofar evening come alive. @b3nding_mind @livingfree91 @asherera_

A portrait of @b3nding_mind I'd drawn a few years ago, before my tablet stopped working for a while. Finally got back to completing it with spontaneously drawn lettering of her name.
I've only ever heard her music live so far, I love how she comes up with a lot of her lyrics while she's on the mic. It's just now that I've been listening to her studio recordings and her music is as calming and introspective as her presence.

🇮🇳🎶 JAI SOFAR! 🎶🇮🇳

We came for the music. We stayed for the vibes. And somewhere between the songs, “Jai Sofar!” became the unofficial anthem of the night. 😂❤️

Our August gig took us to a beautiful private villa in Bastora, where three incredible artists gave us plenty to sing about — quite literally.

Because this audience didn’t just listen. You sang along in rhythm, found the groove together, and turned the room into one giant chorus. That moment? EPIC. 🔥

And then there was Jimmy 🐶 — the cutest English Cocker Spaniel and possibly the best Sofar host we’ve ever had. He welcomed everyone, supervised the evening and seemed thoroughly invested in the music. Pretty sure he’s a fan now.

Huge love to our artists @b3nding_mind @livingfree91 @asherera_ @bento_stev3 @thepoeticthorne @yashabzz venue hosts @lumbarjunction volunteers, partners @roarwithsimba @soberandcoindia @terrysentme and every one of you who showed up and made Bastora feel like home for the night.
