Off the dribble weak hand pocket pass.
Must have this in your passing game.
1. Ability to pass and pitch the ball ahead off the dribble to create an advantage.
2. Works on your split step and attack footwork.
3.creates power in your weak hand for passing off dribble.
4.Allows you a way to get out of trouble on your weak hand dribble.

Playing out of the corner is tough. If your not a knock down 3 pt shooter. Here’s some ways to score and keep your defender on their toes. Sorry for the slow old coach on this!!!
Scoring option
1. Catch an in same motion forward pivot attack.
2. Split step attack block area. Remember split step over 3pt line to not step out.
3. Sell the shot fake attack defenders hip as he rises up.
4. Get below the ball on catch and be balanced before shooting the 3 ball.
Rules of drill.
1.Can’t go onto next shot until you make the one your on.
2. Total score is to 21.
3. Make 3 free throws in a row before repeating on the other side.

Go get it!!

This is where Feet. Eyes. Swish started and evolved thanks to you Amelia 🙏.

During COVID, in a farm shed, with nothing but a hoop and an athlete who simply wanted to put in the work. 6am frosty mornings 5 days a week… Amelia was built different.

Great form and touch!! the only thing missing was power in the shot. So @ameliahassett built it step by step, from the edge of the key out to the three-point line.

No crowds. No stadiums. Just commitment, repetition, and belief in getting better every day.

A proud reflection on where the journey started. Proud to watch you grow on and off through this amazing journey. 🏀❄️

Friday creativity in motion.

Warning ⚠️ (Old man knees in action)

Sometimes I’m just out here playing around like I’m in the gym alone— testing new ways to engage the athletes, keep things fun, and spark belief.

I love this part of coaching — thinking, creating, and finding new ways to bring energy to the gym and challenge the athletes to be okay with new and better through uncomfortable new ideas. I never want to be a sideline coach preaching but not showing,

Every idea, every rep, every smile builds connection and confidence.

They need to know we are in this together!

Basketball should feel like growth and joy. When the coach has fun, the athletes feel it too. 💡🏀

🏀 Basketball is more than a game… it’s family. ❤️

Jess and I met when we were just 8 years old — our dads were coaching our big brothers in the U12 Lachlan Allstars! From that moment, we’ve grown up together. Every step of my journey, she’s been that sister who pushes me, supports me, and always shows up.

Jess, the news brought tears to my eyes because you mean so much to us all, you’re one of the strongest people I know a mum of 5, a super coach, and somehow you still make time for everyone else. Thank you for being you sis💪❤️

Now it’s our turn to show up for you and help you beat this battle ahead. We’ve got you, always. ❤️❤️❤️

Day one of the @basketballnsw U/12 John Davidson Northern Jamboree was a blast!! 💥

We launched with an incredible opening Ceremony, with Smoking Ceremony, Welcome to Country, and the National Anthem set the tone for what was an epic day of hard work and fun.

🏀 190 athletes
👟 20 coaches
🧑‍⚖️ 20 referees & 10 referee coaches

It was hot out there, we came to work and the building our BNSW full court defensive sessions were tough, sweat was pouring off the athletes and coaches!
Everyone is in it together building the future out here, the footwork the communication and getting up and being aggressive defence focus, was a pure joy to see before athletes hit the courts and playing basketball. This is just the start, and we can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow!
