On May 8th, 2025, I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering.

This achievement was only possible through the grace and favor God has placed upon my life. The scripture Proverbs 3:5–6 is displayed on my graduation cap because it reads: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” I held onto this verse every single day throughout my academic journey.

As the only Black woman to graduate from my major department, the adversities I faced were countless, but by placing everything in God’s hands, I found the strength to persevere.
