and I’m really excited for this one.

Back at @junagoa this Friday for a legendary night featuring none other than @corky_traxman_strong (USA) + Babban ( @himanshu_kappal ) 🌐

A cornerstone of Chicago’s underground, @teklife57’s @corky_traxman_strong is a key figure in Ghetto House, Juke, and Footwork. From co-founding the G.E.T.O DJ’z collective in the 90s to crafting iconic cuts like Get Down Lil Momma and Pacman Juke, his sound has defined generations of dance music. With releases on Dance Mania and Planet Mu, and his ongoing Tekvision series shaping global footwork culture, Traxman remains one of the scene’s most influential architects.

Joining him is Babban ( @himanshu_kappal ) , the Goa-based DJ and producer whose sets are marked by deep rhythm, rolling percussion, and low-end pressure. Drawing from his roots as a bass player, Babban bridges genres with a fluid, dubby energy that moves from experimental to club-driven spaces.

Formed in 2024, Babban is the moniker of Goa based DJ/Producer @himanshu_kappal

Guided by his experience as a bass player, Babban’s sets are defined by his ability to blend across the spectrum of dance music with a sharp focus on dubby, percussive and low end elements. The last year saw him open for acts like Shawn Cartier and debut at revered local venues like Juna and the Loft.

About The Mix -

"For this mix I wanted to explore some of the different styles of bass music I’ve been drawn to lately . Starting with restrained, percussive rhythms at 110 BPM, it gradually unfolds into heavier, more experimental sounds around 140 The intention was less about sticking to genres and more about exploring how contrasting tempos and textures can speak to each other."
