There’s presence, and then there’s Amber, carved in porcelain and power. Photographed in the aftermath of Anaemia’s set at Hardcore Halloween. Within a night defined by intensity, her stillness became the moment that stayed.

april is sexual assault awareness month. so, through much deliberation and a few tears, i decided to do this shoot, wearing the dress i was assaulted in. this photoshoot was a step towards reclaiming my body and mind after what happened to me, and a small public display of recovery to remind myself that i am stronger than i think i am. for anyone going through anything similar, let it be a reminder to you too. you are worthy and capable of so much more than you know. I WILL NOT BE SCARED TO WEAR MY FAVOURITE DRESS, AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!

regardless of who you are, please be vigilant, be careful, check on your loved ones and don't be afraid clock your friends' behaviour. do not be quiet. sexual assault is a rife worldwide problem, and it won't stop until it is STOPPED. it will not go away on its own. it's on EVERYONE to do better.
