Marokkanische Tradition und elektrische RevolutionBab L’Bluz (arabisch für «Das Tor zum Blues») wurde 2018 in Marrakesch von Yousra Mansour und Brice Bottin gegründet. Das marokkanisch-französische Quartett definiert den Gnawa-Blues völlig neu, in dem es das traditionell nordafrikanische Saiteninstrument Gimbri mit verzerrten Gitarren und Psychedelic-Rock-Riffs vereint. Inspiriert von der Nayda-Jugendbewegung, singen sie in ihrer Landessprache Darija über Freiheit und soziale Gerechtigkeit. Damit bricht die Gruppe Grenzen auf und verbindet den Maghreb mit dem Spirit des Woodstock-Era-Rocks.Bab L’Bluz begeistert mit seiner hypnotischen Musik ein weltweites Publikum und versetzt die Zuhörer*innen mit einer pulsierenden, kinetischen Energie auf eine Reise, die gleichermassen erschüttert, heilt und inspiriert. by @bablbluz
