A week in Paradise! Our besties daughter Rachel was married in Hawaii so we made a trip of it. A few days in Waikiki with lots of sun started our trip and we ended it with a few days in Laie hanging at the PCC, worrying lots about the potential hurricane and then attending the perfect wedding that was just a bit windy 💕💕💕 We never adjusted to Hawaii time so early mornings and early nights but was a huge blessing coming home. Day 5, Helen, GA to Sarah and Spencer’s home in Monroe, NC. We didn’t arrive in Helen until 1:30am the night before and I was convinced Big Foot was going to get us on the creepy dark roads in the middle of the night thus the photos of buildings with Sasquatch 😊 Helen is the cutest town and feels like you are in Germany! What a great 5 days! by @babschmidt

Day 4, Little Rock, AR to Helen, GA. Started the day at the Central High School visitors center learning about the Brave Nine and desegregation. So fascinating! Then headed to Memphis for a barbecue lunch and saw Sun Studios where Elvis recorded and The Peabody and the Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King was assassinated. Such a great history day! by @babschmidt

Day 3, Amarillo, TX to Little Rock, AR. Started the day at Cadillac Ranch where the kids could spray paint as much as they wanted. Such a fun stop. Found a cool rest stop along the way although didn’t love snake warnings and the tornado shelter. Arrived a much better time 😊 by @babschmidt

Day 2, Flagstaff to Amarillo, TX. Stumbled on a meteor crater outside of Flagstaff which we spent 2 hours at, so big it was mind blowing then headed on Route 66, felt like we were in the Cars movie then drove through the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. Arrived at our hotel at 2:30am but decided the stops were well worth it! by @babschmidt

Drove across the country with Sarah and 3 of my grandkids. Day 1 Utah to Flagstaff and finished the trip at the exploratory where they discovered Pluto. Such a cool place with so much for kids 🥰 by @babschmidt
