Zaika is a multimedia performance artist with a background in ceramics and video work. Interested in questions of intimacy, mythologies, surrealism, their live work often consists of long durational pieces on inter-relations, or work structured around narratives of sw and gender. The work using clay as a prop, spoken word, sound design, and movement to interrogate the contamination of shame in the body and how to find resilience.

I’m thrilled to present the work I’ve made during my time as a working artist @ceramic.kingdom

“A tryst with eternity” is a reflection of stillness and embodiment. The pieces hope to evoke encasing, armor, relics and vases of desire inspired by engravings in cemeteries and architecture of the Medieval Period.

There will be an accompanying video performance showing and workshop/corporeal clay meditation on July 16th at 7pm. Please Join! at CK 🕯️🤍 taken in Berlin, Germany by @babushkabebe
