Off and on by @babysil90

Early this morning.

Someone smashed our storefront window and stole our stuff.

And a while ago, our store experienced a credit card fraud incident involving someone pretending to use Apple Pay and I won’t mention their race.

About a week ago, another woman came into our store and appeared to attempt the same trick. When there was an issue with the payment, she said she would go get cash, left the store, and never came back.

Here’s the important part: The Apple Pay screens they showed us looked suspicious. I don’t know if they were AI generated or some kind of manipulated fake screens, but they definitely didn’t look like normal Apple Pay screens.

Then yesterday, around 3 PM, I noticed a woman repeatedly taking pictures outside our store. Something felt off from the moment I saw her.

Out of everything in the store, the only thing they took was the bearbrick from the exact spot that woman had been photographing the day before.

I can’t confirm whether all these incidents are connected, but with suspicious incidents happening about a week apart, I can’t help wondering if there’s an organized group working together.

TO ALL LA STORE OWNERS — BE CAREFUL!

Especially with Apple Pay transactions. If someone’s Apple Pay screen looks even slightly suspicious, don’t ignore it. There’s no way to know whether it’s AI-generated or a fake payment screen. And if someone tries to pay by manually entering a credit card number, don’t accept it.

이 모든 사건이 연결되어 있는지는 아직 확인되지 않았지만, 일주일 간격으로 비슷한 일들이 반복되니까 조직적으로 움직이는 사람들이 있는 건 아닌지;
