Our goal is to create an open discussion surrounding unplanned pregnancies, end the stigma, and create a culture of empowerment for the many women that find themselves facing the unexpected.

Welcome to Baby Steps! Our mission is to empower pregnant and parenting college students facing an unplanned pregnancy to have their education and their baby by providing housing, community, and support.

We are continually meeting new friends so we would like to reintroduce ourselves and answer some commonly asked questions! 💙

Behind every statistic is a student and a child whose future is worth supporting. We believe an unplanned pregnancy shouldn’t mean giving up on an education. Every Student-Mom deserves the opportunity to continue her education and have her baby, surrounded by community that believes in her!

It’s finally pumpkin season!! As the leaves change, so does the community we serve. Every season brings new milestones, new challenges, and new opportunities! Baby Steps is here to advocate for them through it all as they work to pursue their dreams of graduating!

For many Student-Moms, pursuing an education while raising a child can feel impossible.
ㅤ
Cindy had support during her time at Troy University, but she saw other Student-Moms struggling to stay in school. Some had to drop out, while others spent their weeks on campus & only saw their children on the weekends.
ㅤ
Baby Steps exists to empower Student-Moms to have both their education & their baby. By providing resources under their pillars of housing, community, & support, Baby Steps equips pregnant & parenting students to build a future where obtaining their degrees are realistic & achievable. 💙

HUB UPDATE! Our Auburn Hub has been busy! They have had multiple Benefit Nights that have helped raise funds for the Hub, and the Auburn community has shown incredible support from both local businesses and community members. We are so thankful for everyone who continues to show up for our Student-Moms!

Statistics may tell one story, but our Student-Moms are writing another!

More than 3 million unplanned pregnancies occur in the U.S. each year, with the majority happening among women ages 20–24, many of whom are pursuing a college degree. An unplanned pregnancy doesn’t have to mean putting education or dreams on hold.

For many college students facing an unplanned pregnancy, the biggest challenge isn’t a lack of determination, it’s a lack of support.

Judgment, stigma, and limited access to resources can leave Student-Moms feeling isolated and believing they can not have both their education and their baby.
