When I contacted @bachelorrecords yesterday to ask for authorization to upload this album to the channel, I had to confess something rather embarrassing... Despite finding out from the Austrian label that @uh_batman has been around for fucking 20 years, I had absolutely no fucking idea who UH!-Batman was. And their answer? “Exactly my thoughts often... Who is this?... What is he doing? Totally crazy dude!”
Two decades of showmanship, debauchery and around 1000 live shows... and UH!-Batman finally has a proper full-length album! After a truckload of singles, a 10", a documentary and who knows how much UH!-Whisky, “Tonight I'm Looking For Trouble!” is here:
Side A brings six of his usual doses of primitive garage trashy rock'n'roll and superhero nonsense, while Side B has a bunch of friends and fellow troublemakers destroying some UH!-Batman classics... including Spike Slawson, Xray Xeroxx, Thee Garagekid, Rock and Roll Adventure Kids, Atomic Suplex, Dirt Bag and Salamirecorder.
As the label itself says: “Brilliant songwriting cannot be demolished by bad interpretations!”
Killer stuff inside, with a fucking awesome wrapper: artwork by the brilliant Austrian comic artist Michael Hacker – The Haecksler. PUNK IS BAT! 🦇💥

The Velvet Swing
2017 zuerst als Solo Projekt von Philip Paulus gegründet, gehört mittlerweile auch Michael Zagorec zur fixen Kernbesetzung von The Velvet Swing. Beide verbindet dabei von Anfang an eine große Liebe zum Psychedelic Rock zwischen dessen klassischen Surf- & Garagen-Vorstufen sowie deren modernen Adaptionen (The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Black Angels). Dabei entsteht aus einer Handvoll Akkorden, wenig Progression und spärlicher Instrumentalisierung eine zeitlose Coolness, die jeglichen Firlefanz bewusst weglässt. Diese Attitude durchzieht auch die Tonträger von The Velvet Swing (4 EPs & 1 LP), die voll von psychedelischen Perlen im klassischen Drei-Minuten-Format sind. Psychedelic Rock als Nichteinverstandensein mit der Wirklichkeit, wo sich coole Filme nicht nur angeschaut werden wollen, sondern wo in ihnen gelebt werden will. Im Februar 2025 erschien mit „Dream of Abstract“ die vierte EP des Projekts auf dem Salzburger Label Bachelor Records. Der Extended Player enthält 5 Songs, darunter die bereits veröffentlichten Singles „Trouble and Mud“ und „Dream of Abstract“. Gemischt und gemastert von Leonard Kaage (Errorr & The Underground Youth). Kaage hat den Live-Sound der Band aufgegriffen und ihn in seiner Mischung widergespiegelt. Die Single „Trouble and Mud“ wurde bereits von Robert Rotifer (FM4) sowie in der Morning Show von John Richards (KEXP) gespielt. „Pain Killers“ ist die neueste Veröffentlichung und erschien im Oktober 2025. Der Song ist ein Vorgeschmack auf neues Material der Band.

Salamirecorder *solo* (siluh records)

Wenn man die Musik schon beschreiben muss, dann ist sie wahrscheinlich ein weirder, leicht angepisster Außenseiter, aber mit einem weichen Herz für Liebeslieder. Eine perfekte Mischung aus 60s-Back from the Grave-Garage-Punk und einem Anflug von frühem Trash-Mixtape-Powerpop oder so… seltsamer, lauter, Rock’n’Roll Noise. taken in Asta Rosenheim by @bachelorrecords

Finally, to celebrate 20 years of showmanship and debauchery, after a truckload full of singles, a ten-incher, a documentary and about 1000 live shows, we finally have the first real full lenght from BATMAN! Austrians best comic artist and poster designer Michael Hacker, THE HAECKSLER, paid vast amounts of money only to be part of this project again. So did a group of well known artists and bands to be cordially invited to cover BATMAN hits from the past, only to show you that brillant songwriting cannot be demolished by bad interpretations!

Сви се они у свом раду крећу између стрипа, уметничких пракси, фанзина, ризо и сито-штампе, и независног издаваштва.

👉 AUSTROCOMIX, изложба настала сарадњом Александра Зографа и аустријских стрип посленика (Достал је члан управе Аустријског друштва за стрип, а Петровић је иницијатор Vienna Comix Week) представља не само различите уметничке поетике већ и уради-сам иницијативе, и издавачке и самоорганизоване структуре које обликују нову аустријску стрип сцену.
