Smoke-Out Cookout ‘26😶‍🌫️

The weather was HOT🥵 & the club was on fire🔥, but the community was the coolest 🥰

We were able to raise over $200 with our raffle for @rvacommunityfridges. That’s really something beautiful and we can’t thank you enough for your participation. What they do is so important and we hope you continue to support in every way!🫶🏽

Massive thank you to the @80404club for coming out and sharing their music with us. They set the perfect vibe and because they’re such wonderful people, they brought in an equally wonderful crowd.
We’re honored to have shared the day with them & we hope they opened new ears to some amazing tunes🎧

A lot of people coming in said they had never been to @homegrown_va before, so we’re very grateful that you trusted us to welcome you into a new space.
Peter & Joe know the ins & outs of your grow needs and HomeGrown has everything you need to be successful with it.
Their space was perfect for an event like this, and we’re very appreciative of them letting us use it for the day🌞

Huge shoutout to @thehighchefedibles for feeding the people all day. They were COOKING in all types of ways under that tent, with all that heat, so I know they’re grateful for the patience you guys showed throughout the day.
We hope those infusions treated you right & that you think of them for your next mg party👀

The biggest “thank you” goes to YOU🫵🏽
Not only did you spend your time, money, and sweat to be here, you also showed the true meaning of getting Back 2 the Basics of community.
Thank you for enduring the heat, thank you for shopping local, and thank you for supporting everything that this was. We can’t wait for next year💚

A very important thank you to @rva_soundsystems. You never fail to provide quality sound & loving energy, we appreciate you coming out, amplifying the Club & sharing your undeniable talent with the community.

Special shoutout to @don_dubious for capturing all of these beautiful moments.
This is a day we’ll relive forever

@swellthy is bringing sounds for the Cookout🎶🎧

Swellthy is a producer and artist from Richmond whose sound comes from a lifetime of movement, family influence, and deep musical roots.
Growing up in a military family, he moved across states like Maryland and California, but music was always the constant - from playing trumpet in jazz band to digging through his father’s music collection and being shaped by his mother’s love for R&B and soul.

He started producing with Magix Music Maker and built his setup piece by piece with early gear like a drum machine, mic, MIDI controller, and studio headphones, turning passion into craft. During his high school years in the North Atlanta area, he was surrounded by a growing music scene and inspired by artists like Offset and Sonny Digital, later sharpening his sound under mentor Tony Love through Reason 3.

Influenced by legends like Kanye West, J Dilla, 9th Wonder, Black Milk, and Kev Brown, Swellthy has been producing since 2006 crafting a soulful, experimental, genre-bending sound that continues to evolve today.

We can’t wait to hear what he’s cooking up for us👨‍🍳

In one month, @oskarronwax is bringing beats to the Smoke-Out Cookout😶‍🌫️

🎛️ Heavily influenced by sample-based Boom Bap and Trip Hop of the 90s and early 2000s, Oskarr treats every beat like a puzzle that needs a solution. Every sample needs to be chopped and sequenced in a way that differs from the source material but leaves some familiarity.

Blending the capabilities of the Roland 404 with live scratches and the Headachesound Omni, he strives to deliver a product that will keep your head nodding through the whole set.🙂‍↕️

We can’t wait for his sound to scratch our brains in June🎧

Our Waffle Shop opener, @_brielleofficial❤️‍🔥

Brielle is a bass artist from Charlottesville, Virginia who discovered her love for EDM post-grad.

Beginning her journey as a house DJ, she pushes the boundaries when it comes to exploring genres. Her sets fuse the gap between dancing your heart out and head banging to oblivion.
She has made it her mission to create a space and expand the bass and dubstep scene in the small town she grew up in.

Whether it’s layering rap vocals on break beats or blending frequencies to encourage healing, Brielle’s sets take you on a journey that brings you back to yourself and encourages you to embrace those around you.

& In just ONE WEEK, we put on our bass faces for the very talented @_brielleofficial 🥴

Richmond👀 Don’t Get Bitten😈

Waffle Shop Wubs direct support is our four fanged fellow, @fourfangsmusic 👹

Sometimes described as the “Undercover Ripper” of Richmond, Four Fangs is a selector that strives to make every set unique with blends of atmospheric sounds, heavy bass, and moments that make you audibly gasp.
He’s best known for his mixes like The Crypt, his appearances on the Homie Throwdown Livesteam with @phase2rva , and his side Project “On The Job” with @___________mack

Four Fangs’ project has crossed many genres, but his primary focus is 140 and UKG similar to @joker_kapsize, @douvelle19 , @taikinulightuk , @mph_uk , and @shadesofrhythm .
His goal with live sets is to make every single one entirely unique, with minimal reuse of songs or transitions from previous sets or mixes. The idea being to curate something that the audiences will never be able to hear again, with songs they didn’t know they needed to hear.

Join us in March to witness @fourfangsmusic sink his teeth into Capitol Waffle Shop🧛
