Blind casting a jig head minnow near cover can be just as effective as scoping individual fish at times. #clearlake #bassfishing #livescope #fishing #yakabass by @back_water_yakin

Well that wraps up the @nativewatercraft no limit power hour tournament on Clearlake ca. This tournament format is every fish counts over 14 inches and I was lucky enough to find 6 keepers. Practiced on Saturday with only one 14 inch fish to show and three 10 inchers. On Sunday (tournament day) decided to launch somewhere I’ve never been due to high winds and it payed off. 4 of my fish were caught on a @coolbaitlures Underspin with a 3.5 inch @keitechusa swimbait. One of those being my biggest which was a 20.25 and estimated 6.5lb could not weight it because the wind was very dangerous blowing me into the docks so had to photograph and release quick. The other two were caught on a soft body swimbait. I gained a lot of confidence in swimbaits to say the least unfortunately I broke off my only one on a hook set. The weather was brutal rain and wind all day but we managed 9th place out of 191 anglers and taking some money home. Big shoutout to my lady for holding the fort down and staying with baby so I could go chase these green fish around and always being so supportive. And shoutout to @drocci for letting me room with him and recommending the swimbait and @mobbinoutdoors for bringing one of the funnest events to California. Hope to see you guys out on the water. #nativenolimit #clearlakeca #kayakbassfishing #yakabass #gofishing #kayakfishing #bassfishing by @back_water_yakin

Excited to get into the @hobiefishing pro angler 360 xr this next season. Huge thank you to @kayak.city for a great deal. Make sure to check them out they have a lot of end of year specials. Thanks to James for putting up with my indecisiveness 😂. Did a poll on Instagram and the vote was 50/50 Titan x vs hobie! Some things swayed me more towards hobie! 2025 will be fun. #hobieproangler #kayakcity #yakabassnorcal #kayakbassfishing #kayakfishing #bassfishing #explore by @back_water_yakin

Decided to hit the home waters and do a little bank session with my brother. We caught 9 within 5 hours together and missed a few along the way. Been really missing the simplicity of fishing lately so this was good for the soul. Nothing huge but it was a lot of fun. #bassfishing #bankfishing #fishing #thesimplethings #getoutside #explore by @back_water_yakin

That concludes one of my favorite tournaments of the year. The @foodallergybasstournament is a fundraiser event that all proceeds go towards food allergy research. It was hosted on new Melones. That lake was not kind to many of us. Could not fill a limit caught about 15 undersize fish but got lucky and got one big bite throwing a jig in about 2 feet of water. A 3 fish limit was good enough for 7th place and I tied for big fish of the tournament with that 20 incher. Thank you to the Wu family for feeding us and providing snacks for on the water. I got a killer deal on a lot of great tackle as well. Hope to see you all at the next one. #kayakbassfishing #kayakfishing #bassfishing #yakabass #oldtowncanoe #fundraiser #getoutside #explore by @back_water_yakin
