Pretty fun skiing straight out of the gates at the Aiguille du Midi last weekend 🚠

No arête, no bootpack, just click in and go. Fresh turns in mid-May to finish the season.

A few more snaps from a great day out at Les Grands Montets last weekend 🏔️

Very busy skin track on the way up but managed to escape the crowds once we got our crampons on.

Very interesting to see the new lift taking shape. Looking forward to coming back and skiing here next season once it’s all finished 🚠

When you forget about the schrund 👀

The Lex Blanche was one of the toughest summits of the season, with a long approach and a massive boot pack 🥾

A steep line skied in mixed conditions. Hard up top, chalky lower down, with glacial ice in between and a bergschrund that I remembered a little late

First time skiing the Aiguilles Rouge.

From Flégère, up the lifts, skins on and over the col into a whole new zone. 🚠

Climbed the south couloir of Alphonse Favre, up to the pointe and the along the west ridge of the belvédère as far as we could get. 🏔️

The descent was north facing with tight gullies and cold chalky snow. A bit of problem solving to find the exit, then down valley and along the river all the way to Buet.

A cold drink before jumping on the train home and making a mental note to come back soon. 🚞
