For this round of Backdraft we explore the culture of records and the collection thereof, inviting selecta’s to express their library of music. . Expect a unique sonic sound rediscovering eclectic forgotten gems 💎
Hip Hop - Neo Soul - RnB - Jazz

BCM is a record collector and selecta, who steers clear of being genre-specific selecting and telling stories through [vinyl] music..

A dancer and clubber since the mid 90’s…he translates those dancefloor experiences to now share the sounds that move him, both past and present.

He holds residencies at 2 of the Gulf regions’ finest speakeasy listening bars, namely, Honeycomb HiFi and Saikindo.
Outside of that, he and his brother run For the Record SA, which they founded in 2013, with the vision of introducing untapped local and international talent to their audience.

Come for the journey…enjoy the vinyl sounds

We took a couple of minutes out at the last Backdraft to chat with @hanrichlaubscher about the intent behind his beat tape — the ideas, sounds and story behind the music.

🎧 A little insight into the process behind the beats.

Next Backdraft loading for September. 🔥

We’ll be taking a short breather, but we’ll be back next month with more music, creativity, and community. Until then, keep creating, keep practicing, and we’ll see you at the next session.
