I play everything. Not a collector, but a gamer who just wants to complete his library at some point in life.

POSTS STORIES REELS

I've been wanting to play a flight combat game for a while now. For years, now that I think about it. Apparently PS2 has some of the best ones to date. I just don't know where to start. Should I go the Namco Ace Combat route even though I'm missing the third one in the PS2 trilogy or should I start with Konami's solo offering Airforce Delta Strike???? Any flight combat fans out there, that can guide me???

Spooky season is over and I'm burnt out again.... So here are some random sealed games from my library that I know nothing about, other than the fact that something about them piqued my interest. I'm not even sure what genre a few of these are. I guess these would all fall under the "why not, get it now and play it later" self talk advice, that we all give ourselves as gamers.... I'm sure @youdontevenplaygames can relate.

We have The House Of The Dead at home....

Just some G*ncon spooky games. One of the few genres that just stopped being ported to home consoles for some reason. I don't really understand why not though. Home TVs got bigger and flatter which would be perfect for a lot of those games still trapped in arcades.

Namco needs to figure something out with their G*ncon and bring arcade shooters to modern TVs. Because it was such a great peripheral. Even Capcom got in on the action with RE Dead Aim and Dino Stalker.

Getting closer to the end of spooky season.

Dead Space - survival horror. Suffocating atmosphere, scary space monsters. Amazing experience, core memories built. I don't even need the remaster.

Dead Space 2 - survival horror action. Creepy space babies. Phenomenal game.

Dead Space 3 - Michael Bay type action, universal ammo, big explosions and space monsters. Average at best. Lost its magic the first two built up.

Castlevania meets God of War pretty much.this is probably the best of the best of the 3D Castlevania games. The first Lord's of shadows was great. The second one was just ok. I still don't understand why they did Gabriel so dirty in the second one. For all the powers he has they had him running around pipes and sewage drains as a rat. It hurt to see.

Either way, these are definitely two games I'd like to revisit at some point in time.

October 26, 2026 makes the PS2 officially 26 years old today. That means there are 26 year old adults walking this earth that do not know about Maximo Ghost to Glory and Maximo vs Army Of Zin. Honestly shame on them.

Definitely two gems that I'm pretty sure Capcom just forgot that they made them. They could definitely use some modern love or at least pop up on the PSN store.

I beat both of these games back in the day. However I have to go back and honor beat ghost to glory. It was way too hard back in my high school days so I had to use a Game Shark to get through it.

I'm going off of pure memory and nostalgia but both of these games were great, very difficult and punishing but great. Army of Zin was a little easier as I remember no cheat device was needed.

Either way two great games that all PS2 owners should have in their library.

It was a gut wrenching end to the first season of this game. If you know you know... That ending was a different kind of story telling I was not ready for. From that to the very ending of the final season of this telltale series, was a fun engrossing experience. So much so, that I have not played a telltale game since. Luckily I played the Wolf among us before this one.

Thankfully through the graces of negligence, ignorance and abundance of other games to play throughout the years, this series wrapped up all of its installments, and DLCs while I was focused on other things. While I didn't even know how much I would have enjoyed it at the time, if I got in from the very start. But thankfully with it being completed, I was able to experience this entire story sequentially and immediately thanks to this definitive edition. I'm so happy I didn't play this game when it first came out because of the way those cliffhangers hit, I wouldn't be able to wait for the next installment. I would have given up on Clementine and her growth in the world of the walking dead. If you know, you know.

I never buy games twice. But when I do, I do. In this case, I did. Apparently Google classifies Catherine as a psychological and romantic horror. Given the premise of the story and its themes, the classification makes sense. So that means this game can qualify for #31daysinthecrypt by @_lachrymal and @king_lizzard

I sampled Catherine back in the day. I never really got far. The puzzle mechanics really wore on my anxiety back then. The pressure to move those blocks around and get through the area faster and faster was really palpable and just jarring for some reason. I'm sure I can do it now with ease, being that I'm older and somewhat calmer now.

Despite the game's stressful puzzle mechanics, it was the vibrancy of the cover art that drew me in. That, plus the fact that during the xbox360 era, I was open to any and everything the console had to offer. I was in full exploration mode, I even played sports games.

I only recently picked up the PS4 port cuz I figured I would never get around to this game otherwise. I really do need to bump this up my backlog list.

I still don't have a working Xbox360 yet, and I whole heartedly miss my ease of access to my 360 library. If I could figure out the space for it, I would pull it out of storage so fast. Because 360 is still one of my favorite game libraries. So many late night core gaming memories made with this console in my early twenties, even when I should have been doing other things back then.

Anyway #31daysinthecrypt this is deadly premonition. Jank, horror, more jank, humour, twin peaks, survival horror silent Hill/resident evil clone and I think there's a bit of a cult following to this game and subsequent ports and sequel too. That's all I can really say or know about this game.

I had this on PS3 initially, but only sampled it, then got rid of it. I actually found a 360 copy just a couple of years ago in the wild. I don't know which is the superior version, I just know this is one of the first 360 games I want to dive into once I get a working xbox again.

And as for the order of my favorite game libraries, it goes:
1. )PS4
2.) Xbox360
3. )PS2
4. )Dreamcast
5.)SNES/PS1

World of Horror refuses to do any type of hand holding. This game has to be one of the most confusing, overly obtuse horror visual novels that I still want to beat someday. I barely made it out of the first section of the game and still don't understand it. The only thing that has me really holding onto this game and keeping it somewhat afloat in my backlog is the Junji Ito aesthetic. If not for that, it would fall deep into the trenches of my backlog.

I'm definitely not a fan of big box releases and the amount of space they dictate on a gaming shelf. But I can see the appeal when looking at the contents of those big box releases.

I don't even know if this game is good or not. Or what it's even about I just remember a year or so ago seeing a quarter of the trailer and my interest was piqued, so I turned off the rest of trailer. And now I get to go into this game blind. How it should be, because to me it feels weird going into a game knowing everything about it. I'm good with that old school blockbuster weekend rental vibe where we would take a chance on something that looks interesting and hope for the best.
