🚨EXCITING NEWS!🚨We are launching a new program...

🎉 Meet FlexWorks! 🎉

FlexWorks creates flexible, paid work opportunities for BackPack Beginnings’ Family Market guests who need work that fits around their lives.

🌟Our first project? 🎄Cooper’s Christmas Balls!🎄

Thanks to Cooper, who is passing along the @cooperschristmasballs he started in 5th grade, FlexWorks participants will learn how to make the balls, earn income, and help keep this local tradition going.

This program is about more than Christmas decorations. It’s about creating opportunities, building skills and helping families move toward greater stability. 🙌 Our goal is to grow FlexWorks by adding more projects and opportunities— reach out if you have ideas!

🎄Want to support families by purchasing Christmas balls? They will be sold in our warehouse starting mid-October. More details to come but start spreading the word!

Welcome to FlexWorks! 💚💙

🎉 Exciting news! Thanks to a $350,000 grant from the Weaver Foundation, BackPack Beginnings has officially launched the Guilford County Diaper Bank — the 3rd diaper bank in North Carolina.🎉

Thanks to this generous grant, we anticipate distributing over 1 million diapers this fiscal year. In addition, as a member of the National Diaper Bank Network, this designation allows us to bring even more vital resources, awareness, and assistance to families in Guilford County—creating an even greater impact than before. 👶💙💚

Over the past 5 years, with steady assistance from the NC Diaper Bank, along with local community and national support, we’ve grown from distributing 9,820 diapers in 2020 to over 945,000 this past year through 41 diaper distribution partners, our Family Market, and Diaper Walk-in Program.

1 in 2 U.S. families struggle to afford enough diapers. We are excited to bring much needed awareness and resources to our county through this new diaper bank. 🍼✨ by @backpackbeginnings

School supplies → packed kits → backpacks → happy kids! 🎒✏️ 😃

In July and August, we collected school supplies, turned them into 2,443 school supply kits, and distributed a backpack + kit to 2,443 children through our Family Market!

A huge shoutout to @centric_brands for donating supplies AND helping us pack the kits. We couldn’t have done it without all who donated! 💙💚 by @backpackbeginnings
