Our newest wildlife vlog, The Secret Lives of California’s Wild Bobcats, is now live on YouTube!

I spent three days exploring California’s coastal hills in search of wild bobcats, capturing some incredible moments along the way. From successful hunts to photographing these cats in the pouring rain, this adventure gave us some of our favorite bobcat footage and photographs yet.

One of California’s greatest wildlife comeback stories.

Tule elk are found nowhere else in the world outside California. By the 1870s, they had been nearly wiped out, with only a small population remaining.

Seeing them roaming the coastal hills of Point Reyes makes their story even more incredible. An animal that came so close to disappearing is still here, bugling, battling and carrying on across the California landscape.

Introducing a new IG series: OUT THERE.

Finding wildlife while I’m out hiking is my favorite way to experience it. You leave the roadside crowds behind, slow things down, and sometimes get one of those moments where it’s just you and the wild.

This little series is about those moments.

Quick little adventures I’ll be sharing as reels. Hitting the trails, getting away from the crowds, and seeing what I can find along the way.

For Episode 01, I had an incredible moment when a coyote suddenly appeared and walked right past me through the sagebrush.

Episode 01: Somewhere in Yellowstone.

Snow in Snow on the Beach. ❄️🐻

My favorite moment from spring was getting to watch Snow, the grizzly sow, take a sunrise stroll down the beach with fresh snow covering the ground. A moment I’ve been chasing for a long time.

A fitting one to share for World Photography Day, moments like this are why I love the craft.

Yellowstone: A Fall Story is now live on YouTube. I spent most of September exploring Yellowstone in search of a wolf, and along the way encountered grizzlies, moose, bison, elk, coyotes, a Great Gray Owl, and so many unforgettable moments. If you’ve ever wanted to experience fall in Yellowstone, I think you’ll enjoy this one. Link in my bio.

The pandemic set something in motion neither of us knew was there.

With the world shut down, we went out into the wild, exploring the national parks. Then in 2022, while hiking in Glacier, we saw our first grizzly bear in the wild. We were both instantly hooked.

This last year we’ve been obsessed with the craft of wildlife photography—trying to improve, learning from every encounter, and chasing that feeling of what it’s like to look into the eyes of a wild animal.

These are some of our favorite shots from 2025.

Canis lupus — the Gray wolf.

This beautiful female appeared on a hillside in Yellowstone this fall. She came down, crossed the road right in front of me, and vanished into the open field. Moments like this are what I live for — rare, raw, and unforgettable.
